Music icon Beyoncé has topped the UK singles chart for the first time in nearly 14 years with her song Texas Hold 'Em.

This comes after she made history as the first black woman to top the US Billboard's country music chart. The country song was released on February 11 during the Super Bowl, along with another single, 16 Carriages. Both songs are expected to be on her new album, which will be released on March 29.

This follows the success of her 2022 album, Renaissance. The last time Beyonce reached number one in the UK singles chart was in March 2010 when she teamed up with Lady Gaga for the song Telephone. She has had four other songs reach the top spot. In 2023, she toured her album Renaissance and a documentary about her world tour premiered in North American cinemas on December 1.

The tour was attended by 2.7 million fans and made close to £411m. Beyonce, who is married to Jay-Z, first became famous with the girl group Destiny's Child before going solo and releasing her debut album Dangerously In Love in 2003. Alongside her singing, she's also acted in the 2006 romantic comedy film Dreamgirls as Deena Jones and was the voice of Nala in The Lion King in 2019.

This week BeyHive's were beyond proud of the famous pop singer as she has reached yet another unbelievable milestone in her music career. This week the 42-year-old singer made country music history as she reached the top of the American charts replacing Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgrave's chart-topping hit I Remember Everything which sat at number one for 20 weeks.

Beyoncé's latest release was met with 19.2 million streams from listeners and has already made 39,000 sales in the U.S. as of February 15th, according to reports from Luminate. This comes as the 32-time Grammy award-winning singer recently announced that she will be releasing an entirely country-inspired album with two singles Texas Hold 'Em and Carriages already out now.

After the announcement that Beyoncé has made country history, fans took to X, formerly Twitter, raving over the incredible achievement. One fan wrote: "Beyoncé is officially Number 1! Beyoncé's has officially took over country Music and y'all just gotta deal with it y'all probably are not gonna catch it till it's too late but music History is being made."
