Tiger Woods ' son Charlie took part in a PGA Tour qualifier on Thursday - with fans noticing him take to the course in interesting attire.

Charlie, 15, had looked to qualify for the Cognizant Classic at The Palm Beaches, with him taking part in an event at the Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida - with him wearing Greyson Clothiers and a Titleist and not his father's new clothing line, Sun Day Red.

Both Greyson and Titleist sponsor numerous golfers and is popular attire with Charlie surprising fans with his decision not to wear his father's new company's clothes. However, Woods Sr has already addressed his son's decision throughout his upcoming career - with him wanting Charlie to make his own decisions.

In a 2021 interview, Woods said: "He is his own person. That’s one of the things that we made sure of that Charlie is Charlie. I am proud of whatever direction he chooses."

In January, Tiger ended his deal with Nike after 27 years - one of the most iconic partnerships in sporting history. And while Charlie was never likely to sign with Nike, it might be a surprise to see him instead opt to wear Greyson - part-owned by NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald who seemed to hint that the 15-year-old has signed a deal with them writing on Instagram : "Welcome to the family, Charlie Woods."

Charlie is clearly taking his golfing career incredibly seriously, joining his father Woods father in competing in the 2023 edition of the PNC Championship. The pair finished tied for fifth place following an impressive rise up the standings as Charlie didn’t miss a fairway on the final day.

However, his bid to qualify looks now to be over after he carded a 16-over-par 86 to finish well outside the five qualification spaces in the event.

Woods, 48, revealed his new brand earlier this month. The 15-time major winner said: "Every single tournament I've played as a professional I've worn red. It's just become synonymous with me. Sunday red - it's me. It started with mom [Kultida].

"She thought being a Capricorn that my power colour was red, so I wore red as a junior golfer and I won some tournaments. Lo and behold, I go to a university that is red, Stanford is red. We wore red on the final day of every single tournament."

Woods is expected to make his next PGA Tour appearance at the Players Championship next month after withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational due to illness. He is also set to play in the Masters in April - five years after his last victory at Augusta.
