It might not be something that many people would like to consider but if there was to be an apocalypse then the best and worst places to live have been revealed.

Betting company JeffBet have looked at factors such as how easy it is to get food and water, where the medical centres are and even where you can find hardware stores. According to the research, the Scottish Highlands would be the safest place to be during an apocalypse. This is mainly because it's so remote and doesn't have many people living there - only 235,540 people called it home in 2018.

Even though it might be hard to get to hospitals or clinics, the Highlands has lots of trails for finding food and plenty of freshwater lochs. JeffBet also said that Argyll and Bute in Scotland would be a good place to go if there was an apocalypse. It's got a coastline where you could catch fish and build shelters away from other people.

The Orkney Islands in Scotland also made the list as they're off the mainland, which would make it harder for zombies to get there. The company added that some people living outside of Scotland still have a good chance of surviving an apocalypse. The Lake District in England and Gwynedd and Powys in Wales also made it into the top 10, reports the Express.

But the research also warned that if disaster strikes, places with lots of people would be harder to live in. They said the worst place would be Lewisham in London. In particular, they feared that the borough's high population of over 303,500 could lead to significant shortages in essential resources, with less chances to go foraging.

Other parts of London like Tower Hamlets and Newham were also low on the list, as well as Luton in Bedfordshire, because they have lots of people living there too.
