Chris Moyles has been on an incredible weight loss journey since his Radio 1 days.

The legendary broadcaster, who celebrates his 50th birthday today, managed to lose six stone, dropping from 18 stone to 12. While many speculated that the star had been under the knife, he set the record straight and revealed just how he managed it by overhauling his diet.

When he stepped back into the limelight as he joined the cast of I'm a Celebrity....Get Me Out of Here! in 2022, his transformation proved so different that he wasn't instantly recognisable to everyone in camp. Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood, 32, looked confused during the opening episode of the ITV series as Chris greeted her before they headed into the jungle together.

"You look different," Olivia told Chris at the time, to which the radio personality replied by quipping: "I used to be really fat."

The reality TV star quickly complimented her campmate on his weight loss, telling Chris: "You look great." Thanks to transforming his body, Chris has previously been accused of undergoing weight loss surgery in order to achieve his new figure.

But in 2017 - five years on from starting his weight loss journey - the star took to social media to quash those rumours and reveal exactly how he shed the pounds without the help of a surgeon or weight loss supplements. "I don't want people reading this and thinking that's how I lost weight. So here, from my tiny mouth, is the truth. I stopped buying bread," Chris explained to his fans online.

"Dramatically cut my lager intake. Started eating better food... Trained regularly. That's it. I just wanted you to know I didn't use any supplements." During an episode of The Kempcast with Ross Kemp in 2020, Chris went a little deeper when discussing his appearance - revealing an ongoing "issue with body dysmorphia" that developed after losing weight.

"I weigh myself six days a week, and I know you shouldn't and I know it's not for everyone, but I do that so I can learn about how my body works," the star explained to former EastEnders actor Ross on the podcast. "I will train Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and I will watch what I eat and I'll eat very little.

"I do intermittent fasting and I'll eat at 6:30pm or 7pm and I'll be fine. I need to do that from the weekends that I have. I'm fascinated by body dysmorphia because I really have an issue with body dysmorphia, which I think most people do," he added during the candid chat.

Chris - who previously declared 'I will be dead by the time I am 50' if he doesn't maintain his fitness regime - has also admitted his attitude towards drinking has changed since losing weight.

"I don't know what I used to think when I looked in the mirror when I was at my worst," he told The Sun. "Now if I go out on a Friday or Saturday and have a few beers, I can see that I'm bloating in the mirror on Sunday."
