As soon as the signs of spring hit, I'm a sucker for picking up bunches of tulips and daffodils at the supermarket to add a fresh finish to my home. While they look lovely for a day or two, these delicate blooms don't last long once cut and I'm constantly having to replace them, or live with droopy buds on my dining table.

On a recent trip to the Marks & Spencer homeware section, I stumbled across their Artificial Tulip Ceramic Pot in the Mother's Day gift display and was instantly impressed with how life-like the flowers looked, not to mention how beautiful the matching ceramic vase was.

The £20 floral arrangement features several pretty pink faux tulips that feel and look realistic, and the ceramic vase has a petal design in a chic ivory colourway. As my local Marks & Spencer store has a show-home, I set about styling the Tulip Vase as if I would at home and soon realised it may be be the solution to my spring flower dilemma.

My first port of call was a dining table, complete with a printed linen tablecloth and speckled tumblers. As the ceramic vase itself is neutral, it fit right in and the pops of pink added a lovely vibrancy to the table. I also found the varying shades of green between the leaves and grass added dimension and texture.

The flower pot also looked amazing when placed on a wooden coffee table in a living room by adding height and a fresh touch. If you have pets or little ones running around it's ideal as if it gets knocked over there will be no spillages.

I'm not the only one who has high praise for the Tulip Vase with one person commenting, "I did wonder if it would look real enough, but so glad I bought it as it’s such an attractive display. Good quality and the pot is also in a tulip shape."

There are a few features that could be improved as one customer noted that "they do need a bit of adjustment" and the option of alternative colours would be an advantage.
