Love Island All Stars runner up Jess Gale has broken her silence on speculation that her boyfriend Callum Jones is in fact still in love with his ex-girlfriend Molly Smith.

The reality stars were thrown together in a villa in South Africa for the Love Island spin-off - which reached a climax on Monday night. Viewers watched as 27-year-old Callum and 24-year-old Jess made it all the way to the final alongside 29-year-old Molly and her 24-year-old boyfriend Tom Clare.

While Molly and Tom were crowned the winners of the show, many viewers were hoping that Callum and Molly would reunite - with many thinking the former flames still carry a torch for each other. Molly and Callum met on Love Island in 2020 when they starred on season six of the show - and went on to enjoy a three and a half year long romance.

Both signed up to the All Stars spin-off - unaware that the other would be in the house. The pair initially recouped in the villa before splitting and pursing new romances with other people.

While Callum and Jess were the silver prize winners on Love Island All Stars, social media has been awash with theories that he’s still in love with Molly. Jess has now addressed these rumours in a new chat.

Speaking to The Morning After Podcast, Jess said: "Obviously when I first heard I was very shocked by it. And I thought was there anything I was overlooking? I didn’t want to be naive. I was scared of being perceived as really bad if Callum and Molly were this 'love story' and I was standing in the way."

Jess went on: "So yeah I was a bit nervous about the whole thing. But Callum was very reassuring and he put it to bed quickly. So it was smooth running after that."

In an exit interview after finishing in second place, Jess painted a blissful picture of her romance with Callum. Asked how her Love Island All Stars experience had been, she said: “My Love Island experience was very smooth sailing, I came in and I coupled up with Callum very quickly and from then onwards we didn’t have an argument or anything. It was really good, we just got on very well. It was smooth and fun - I actually had a lovely time.”

She also hinted she hopes the romance will flourish out of the villa and back in the UK. Jess said: “We are just going to see how it goes naturally. I will take some trips up to Manchester and Callum is going to come and do some fun things with me in London.”

Callum, who was being interviewed at the same time, also shared a hope he and Jess would go the distance. He said: “We are very much on the same page with things as well, very chilled and no pressure. Just want to spend time with each other and go on some dates.”
