Avid WhatsApp users are probably already aware of how to make text appear in bold, italics or with a strikethrough. These options have been available for years with fans of the app simply needing to type in a specific code to see the changes. For example, add an * before and after a word and will instantly appear bold.

It's a nice function and now WhatsApp is expanding this list with new tech changes including Bulleted Lists, Numbered Lists, Block Quotes and Inline Code.

These text updates are all available from today on platforms including iOS and Android. So how does it work and how do you jazz up your messages?
