With rain on the way for most of the UK and temperatures continuing to tempt Brits into cranking up the heating, Oodie’s latest sale couldn’t have come at a better time. The Australian loungewear heroes have slashed the price of their kids wearable blankets - and they’re almost as cheap as Primark.

Growing in popularity following the cost of living crisis in a bid to keep energy bills down, the cosy oversized hoodies complete with fun and exciting patterns have continued to be popular with shoppers young and old alike.

But now, they’re giving parents the change to keep their little ones warm for less with a massive sale, the Daily Record reports.

The bestselling Aussie brand has just slashed the cost of a selection of classic kids Oodies to just £20. The mini-me wearable blankets are usually still pricey at £77 each, which means shoppers can save an impressive £57 with the limited-time sale.

To get the deal, all you need to do is head on over to the Oodie website and enter the code WINTER57 at the checkout where it will immediately drop the price. The brand's offer does not have an end date, but it has been advised that it is "limited and can end at anytime."

Each wearable blanket in the £20 sale has been designed for kids aged between 7 to 13 years old and comes complete with the classic Sherpa fleece interior lining to keep toasty warm. Meanwhile, the slightly oversized design and kangaroo pocket make these blankets perfect for any sleepovers, family movie nights or even camping when the summer arrives.

What’s more is that they’re now only £4 more expensive than their high street rival from Primark. The affordable retailer’s ‘Snuddie’ is £16 for their children’s version. When The pitted them against one another, she said: “Instead of the double lining found in the Oodie, the Snuddie is just one layer of warm fluffy material, with a double lining found only in the hood.” She added that Primark’s version ‘just doesn't stand up to the cosy warm power of the Oodie’.

Included in the Oodie sale is the Chicken Nuggets & Fries pattern, which is currently the highest rated on offer. Boasting a perfect five out of five star rating, parents who say the kids love how "soft" and "fluffy" it is.

One five-star review read: "It's so nice. Lovely, soft and fluffy. My grandson absolutely loves it. He and his Mum have matching ones

A second praised: "Bought for my granddaughter. She put it straight on and didn't take it off all day. Needless to say that she loves it.

Another raved: "Fantastic quality. So soft and comfy. My son has sensory issues and this is wonderful for him against his skin. It goes everywhere to the beach just relaxing round the house and even a trip to the shops would highly recommend."

And another gushed: "My Grandson Jack loves his Oodie. It’s his second Oodie, and he’s keen that I should one too. He assures me they are so warm and cosy, perfect for now the nights are getting dark and cold."

While not specifically promoting a particular brand, last year on Martin Lewis ’ Money Saving Expert website, one fan said she hadn’t used the heating since purchasing a , commenting: “Invested in an oversized hoodie blanket to snuggle up in, not used heating since.”

Alternatively, parents can also find four other fun designs in the £20 kids sale. These include Bunny, Corgi, Bulldog and Fruit & Veg - so, there is a design that will suit any kids personality.

It's also not the only sale on at the moment, as the bestselling brand has also slashed some other Kids Oodies down from £87 to £37 - a saving off £50. This includes patterns inspired by some kids favourites including Pokémon, The Mandalorian, Winnie the Pooh and Marvel.
