Love Island viewers believe finalists were on show 'for a free holiday' as they point out pattern

Love Island All Stars viewers were convinced the finalists were only on the dating competition for a 'free holiday' as they pointed out a pattern with the stars.

On Monday night, Molly Smith and Tom Clare were announced as the winners of the first-ever All Stars version of the show. Molly's ex Callum Jones and Jess Gale, Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran and Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk were all finals.

As the winners and finalists celebrated the end of their second Love Island journey, viewers noticed a pattern with all the stars and rushed to social media to comment on it. Some fans noticed how none of the finalists were in love and none of the finalists made their relationship official.

One sceptical user wrote: "I just realized no one’s ever dropped the L bomb or asked anyone to be their girlfriend they all just came on for a free holiday." One said Anton jokingly asked Georgia H to be his girlfriend, writing: "Anton did…across the villa…whilst making a sandwich."

The All Stars series saw a lot of feuds, misunderstandings and awkward run-ins. Despite everyone being in a couple and growing close, none of them took their relationship to a deeper level. Fans have previously pointed out some of the stars were in a coupling of convenience.

On Monday night, when host Maya Jama brought viewers the action live on air as she returned to the villa for the final time in this series, a stunned Molly screamed: "What the f**k?" when she and Tom were announced as the winners. Both winners were tearful as they admitted they did not see it coming, as Maya placed her arm around them. The winning couple were supported by their co-stars once more as Maya closed the show, while viewers at home also had their say.

Viewers were divided over the result with some saying Callum and Jess were robbed of the victory. One fan posted on X: "My winners, robbed. but I saw it coming the UK never vote right." Another agreed: "So disappointed like we never get the winners we want," as a third said: "Tell me about when Love Island was good and had deserving winners."

Not everyone was fuming though, with one "glad" fan writing: "Molly is so authentic and adorable. So glad she won Tbf." Another agreed: "I'm glad they won instead of Callum," and a third commented: "Glad Molly and Tom won."
