Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner officially finalised their divorce on February 16.

According to documents obtained by The Mirror, the pair have been excused from parenting classes, despite their filing of dissolution of marriage with minors. This comes as the former couple reached a private agreement about their divorce proceedings.

The former couple previously reached a joint custody agreement for their three children including their 16-year-old son Cayden, 14-year-old son Hayes, and 13-year-old daughter Grace back in September of last year. The pair's official date of separation was filed on April 11 after 18 years of marriage with Christine citing "irreconcilable differences" for the reason for the breakdown of their love.

After a long-winded public legal battle the two finally signed off on a three-page settlement on September 19, according to reports from TMZ. The court judge reportedly decided that their 18-year-old prenup would be enforced and Christine would be forced to pay over $1million in addition to attorney fees to her ex-husband if she did not agree.

But according to reports Christine's request to have her $850,000 legal fees paid has since been thrown out. She will reportedly receive more money than the prenup states. The ruling comes after the Yellowstone actor was originally ordered to pay his ex $129,000 per month in child support, which was more than double what he was initially offering. A court hearing a few weeks later saw the number decreased to $63,000 per month.

Their divorce went south almost immediately with Christine asking for large amounts of money including a $250,000 child support payment with Kevin claiming the cash would be used for plastic surgery. In July she was ordered to leave their shared home by a judge and relocated to a $40,000-per-month property located in Montecito, California.

After the child support hearing Kevin confessed to reporters outside the court room that he was in a "horrible place." He told Access Hollywood: “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at. It feels so bad. We’re talking about somebody I love on the other side. I just can’t.”

At the time a representative for the former couple shared a joint statement with Mirror, that said: "Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings."
