Celebrity Big Brother is getting ready to welcome a new star from ITV who had a tough time after a boob job went wrong.

The fun starts again on March 4 on ITV, nearly six years since Channel 5 stopped showing Celebrity Big Brother and the non-celebrity version too. AJ Odudu and Will Best will be hosting, and there are whispers that stars like Louis Walsh from X Factor, Ekin-Su Culculoglu who won Love Island, and Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith might be joining the show.

Lauren Simon from ITVBe's Real Housewives is now thought to be part of the show as well. She recently had a huge health scare when a boob job went wrong, leaving her forced to stay in hospital for three weeks and almost claiming her life.

Lauren, who is 48 and became single again in 2018 when she split from her husband Paul Simon, is no stranger to reality TV as she's been on The Real Housewives of Cheshire since it started in 2014.

The Sun says Lauren has signed up just in time for the big return of Celebrity Big B rother. Last year, she talked about not realising she was having menopause symptoms in an ITV documentary because doctors said she was "fine".

Lauren opened up about the often hush-hush topic of menopause, saying it's important for people to understand what women endure. She encouraged ladies to keep asking their doctors for help if they're not satisfied, sharing her own story of being dismissed.

Chatting with the Daily Star, Lauren got real about her struggles: "I had memory fog, I was taking a herbal supplement for memory loss," she said. "I was taking black cohosh and red clover, I'm really into the herbal side. You see me going to a Chinese herbalist, she made this concoction of this tea that I'm supposed to drink twice a day. It was undrinkable, it tasted like mud, wee and coffee together that was an interesting scene."

She added more about her journey: "[In the documentary] I go out with my friends and we talk about what symptoms you're supposed to get which is an itchy, dry vagina which I have not got. I was lucky enough to film with the girls I'm friends with, I did quite a lot of filming on my own. I had a few hot sweats and stuff a couple of years ago, I went to the doctor and they basically said to me 'you're fine, there's nothing going on'."
