The granddaughter of infamous Mexican drug lord El Chapo has been on a mission to find the Loch Ness monster during a trip to Scotland.

Frida Sofia Guzman Munoz's grandfather, Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera, was one of the world's most feared drug traffickers, leading the ruthless Sinaloa Cartel. He managed to escape from maximum security prisons twice in Mexico before being caught again. Frida has been touring Europe, visiting places like Paris and London to experience their culture. She travelled north to Scotland and shared a video of herself with Edinburgh castle in the background after visiting the Johnny Walker experience.

She then took a trip to the Highlands in search of the legendary Loch Ness Monster, sharing footage from a boat on the famous loch, reports Edinburgh Live. Frida is the daughter of El Chapo's eldest son Edgar Guzman Lopez, who was brutally killed by rival cartel hitmen in a shopping centre car park in the Mexican state of Sinaloa in 2008. Mexico has seen terrible violence in recent years as authorities fight against increasingly powerful drug gangs.

El Chapo is considered one of the most influential figures in this underworld, having founded the feared Sinaloa Cartel - believed to be the largest supplier of drugs into the USA. In 2014, 'El Chapo' confessed to having killed between 2,000 and 3,000 people. In 2019, he was sentenced to life plus 30 years in prison after a New York federal court found him guilty of 10 charges, including drug trafficking and money laundering.

However, the notorious drug lord managed to escape from a Mexican jail through a tunnel in 2015. He was recaptured in 2016 after a shootout in the city of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, and was extradited to the US in 2017. He is now locked up in a 'supermax' prison in Colorado, where escaping seems impossible.
