Prince Harry spent just over 24 hours in the UK when he rushed to visit King Charles, but it looks like he could be about to spend more time with the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex returned to London after it was announced the King had been diagnosed with cancer and sat down for his first private conversation with his father for 15 months. Now, Harry has revealed he plans to return to the UK to spend more time with Charles.

"Throughout all these [Invictus Games] families I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together," he said during an appearance on Good Morning America.

"I've got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can," he added. Harry also said he loved his family and admitted he felt very grateful to be able to visit the King.

Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from the Royal Family back in 2020. Over the years, the Sussexes have developed a frosty relationship with The Firm. The relationship worsened as they issued a number of attacks on the royals in their Netflix docuseries.

However, royal experts have suggested the enduring bond between Harry and his dad has become "increasingly evident" since the King's cancer diagnosis. It's believed Charles is also very keen to see more of his son.

"On all practical levels it makes perfect sense for the family to come together to support the King while he's sick. Much has been said on both sides in recent years, but that has never diminished the fundamental bond of blood, and there are now pragmatic aspects to consider," a royal source told The Times.

During his appearance on Good Morning America last week, Harry revealed his father had told him about his cancer diagnosis personally. Harry refused to comment on the King's condition and instead said: "That stays between me and him".

When asked if the diagnosis could have a "reunifying effect" amid their feud, Harry said he is certain it will. "Yeah, I'm sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together," he told the host.
