Louise Thompson was discombobulated when she woke up at her home this morning - thinking she was back in hospital.

The 33-year-old reality star has suffered from a string of health issues in recent years and since becoming a mum to two-year-old son Leo-Hunter. Louise - how is engaged to fellow former Made In Chelsea star Ryan Libbey, 33 - was in hospital this month after rushing back to the UK for medical aid from a holiday in Antigua.

While recovering in hospital, Louise transported herself out of the confines of her room by playing bird song. She said that the sound helped her feel like she was in a jungle rather than in a clinical medical environment.

On Monday, Louise took to social media to share a photograph of the morning sky. In an accompanying message, she explained how she had been woken up by the sound of real birds - which initially left her confused as to where she was.

Sharing the image via Instagram Stories, Louise began by writing: “Yes. Pink skies and bird song.” She then continued: “I woke up to the same sound this morning that I listened to on repeat in hospital. It was a white noise of birds chirping. Every time someone walked into my room they commented on how nice it was and several people asked how they could listen to the same at home too.

“I found it very calming and healing. I felt transported out of those scary four walls and into the jungle somewhere. This morning I thought I was going crazy/hearing things as I heard EXACTLY the same sound out of toy bedroom window.”

She added: “I had to stand next to it to check it was real. I can’t wait for Spring. Who else is holding out for Spring?” Back in 2018, Louise shared the news that she had been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis - a medical condition that causes inflammation of the lower end of the digestive system, including the large bowel and rectum.

She fell pregnant in 2020 but had a traumatic birthing experience when Leo-Hunter arrived in 2021 in which she suffered a haemorrhage and lost three liters of blood. She was also diagnosed with post-traumatic stress following the birth - and was also given a lupus diagnosis.

In a recent social media post, Louise also made reference to C-reactive protein, CRP, a annular pentameric protein found in the blood which will turn up high in situations where the body is responding to inflammation. In recent social media posts she shared that she had been hospitalised and thanked both Ryan and their son for visiting her to keep her company and lift her spirits.

Louise explained last week that she had returned home after more than two weeks of hospital treatment. She told fans: “I am a STRONG COOKIE and I am working hard on a speedy recovery.⁣⁣ And there will be a silver lining. I promise I’m already searching for it. Already found a few nuggets. ⁣⁣ A nice little reminder that health is everything. It must always come first first first. Along with my family and my son.⁣⁣”
