KSI shares moment with former opponent Luis Pineda after latest KO win

YouTube star KSI and former opponent Luis Pineda congratulated each other on their respective wins backstage.

KSI - real name JJ Olatunji - made his latest career step in the boxing ring last weekend when he took on short-notice replacement FaZe Temperrr at Wembley Arena. The British star delivered in quick-fire fashion, poleaxing his rival with a swift combination to close the show in the first round.

The card was a roaring success once again, with influencer BDave featuring earlier against a mystery opponent - which turned out to be KSI's former rival Pineda. The Mexican put in a much improved performance this time out, dominating the fight along the three-round distance to have his hand raised.

KSI defeated Pineda in a hugely one-sided fight last August, which saw him drop the Mexican seven times en route to his second win of the night after beating Swarmz. The pair were reunited at the show backstage following their respective wins and were delighted to celebrate together with a relieved greeting.

The YouTube star shouted: "Pineda, Pineda! Congratulations man. Vamos, vamos! Congratulations bro you smashed it. You looked very good. Oh wow, yeah, that is cold. Let's go." Pineda thanked the promoter-turned-fighter for his opportunity on the card, having previously arrived on the scene as a professional fighter.

It was not made clear that Pineda was part of the event until the ring walk, where he used the WWE legend The Undertaker's infamous walk-on song in the darkness to surprise fans. The venue erupted as he was revealed as the mystery opponent, and he had his hand raised after battering his influencer rival for large parts of their showdown.

Meanwhile, KSI's boxing journey is likely to continue this year as he prepares to have another showdown before eyeing an eventual shot at long-term YouTube rival Jake Paul. After the final bell, KSI had a whole host of names on his lips, which included Joe Fournier and Tyron Woodley.

"I said I wanted a KO, I said I wanted it in round one, and here we are baby," KSI said. "I want you guys to understand the levels. Look at what Swarmz did to Ryan Taylor. "Look at what [Luis Alcaraz] Pineda did to that other guy, who I don't know his name. And look at what I did to Temperrr. I'm on a different level and we're going again!"

"I'm hungry, ladies and gentlemen. Joe Fournier, I want a piece of that," KSI added. "Woodley, I want a piece of that. Slim (Albaher)... whoever it is, I'll destroy. I need to be tested. I more tests before I reach the final level... Jake m*********ing Paul."
