Arsenal extended their terrific form at the weekend with a 5-0 victory against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Martin Odegaard set the Gunners on their way with an early strike, while Bukayo Saka netted a brace. Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz rounded off a comprehensive victory.

Mikel Arteta’s side now sit second in the Premier League table and just two points behind leaders Liverpool - who also racked up a big win against Brentford on Saturday. With all of that being said, there has been plenty of reaction to the win and to the race for the title.

Take a look at all of the headlines coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours:

Saka admits to hat-trick regret

Despite hitting a brace against Burnley - taking his season tally to 15 goals in all competitions for the Gunners - Bukayo Saka was disappointed to have not secured the match ball at Turf Moor. The academy graduate has netted two in consecutive appearances but is still waiting for his debut treble.

Speaking after Saturday’s win, Saka said: “I’m really pleased. I’m enjoying my football, but obviously I need to keep focused. But yeah, of course I’m happy to score two, two weeks in a row and hopefully the third one will come soon. It’s coming. It’s coming, but I need to be patient!

“It was a lot of fun out there. I really enjoyed it and it’s nice to see the fans coming up with new chants and stuff. I just loved it, so I enjoyed it. The boss has told us we’re the first Arsenal team to win five in a row at the start of the year.”

Barnes rubbishes Gunners title challenge

Former Liverpool star John Barnes does not believe that Arsenal are bona fide challengers for the Premier League crown and struggles to see past the Reds or Manchester City. Speaking to Premier League Productions, he said: "City are the favourites, I make Liverpool the second favourites.

"Arsenal were in a better position last year, but I’ve said since the Premier League started: March, April is when you really start to look at who the runners and riders are, because you have teams like Aston Villa and Tottenham who [looked like contenders] six weeks ago.”

He added: "Arsenal have to play well to win and if they don’t play well they may not win, and that is why as much as they’re doing well now I still think it’s between Man City and Liverpool.”

Havertz sends Arteta message

Kai Havertz has claimed Arsenal do not have any regret over not signing a striker after he ended his barren run against Burnley. The German has six goals for the North London side since a move from Chelsea.

"It’s not the end now,” he said. “We keep being focused because I know you guys after one game without five goals you’re gonna write we need a striker!

“So we just work hard, enjoy ourselves on the pitch and that’s what we did today. We all trust ourselves and we know what quality we all have. We have to give trust to each other and that’s what we’ve done.”
