'My dad, 49, got my 23-year-old friend pregnant - she's a complete gold-digger'
A woman's "heart sunk to her stomach" after she discovered her 23-year-old best friend started dating her dad, 49, and fell pregnant with his baby.
It is often hard for people to adapt to their parents getting into new relationships, but imagine if your dad wanted to date your best friend, 26 years his younger.
Young American woman Joni felt completely betrayed after she introduced her ex-friend Gina to her dad David on New Year's Eve, and the pair began dating behind her back.
"I feel betrayed and disrespected by both of them, it feels like a slap in the face," she said during an appearance on CBS show Dr. Phil. Gina and Joni were inseparable for a long time - going on holiday together, enjoying family events together and nights out.
Now their strong friendship and Joni's relationship with her dad have both been destroyed.

She explained to Dr Phil: "I'm very p**d off at the relationship my dad has with Gina. I do not support it." But Gina and David insist their relationship is none of Joni's business.
Explaining what happened, Joni claimed: "Before Gina started dating my dad, we were close friends. We did everything together - we went to bars, she would go to my house, I would go to her house, we went to family events, and take trips together.
"I introduced Gina to my father she saw dollar signs. She kept complimenting his house and just continued on about it." Around four months after Gina's introduction to her friend's dad, they began dating.
"My heart just sank to my stomach," Joni said, who claims that Gina wanted to start the relationship as she is "a gold digger" and wanted to "build herself a better life".
Joni said she and Gina went on trips together, loved going on nights out, and would often spend time at each other's homes (Dr. Phil /Youtube)"My dad is being very naïve about this relationship. He needs to wake up," Joni said. The angry daughter went viral on TikTok after airing her dad's relationship. Dr Phil asked: "So what is your real objection? Is your objection that this is a friend that betrayed you? Is your objection that your dad is getting played and exploited?" She replied: "It's all of it."
However, Gina told Dr Phil she is a licensed cosmetologist and works in a salon. "I'm making my own money," she added. Gina also claims that Joni had exaggerated how close their friendship was.
Gina and David have been to New York together, as well as Disneyland, Tulum, Miami, and Mexico's Versace Mansion, but Gina insists she is not with her partner for his wealth. She commented: "I wasn't a desperate single mother seeking a sugar daddy. That's not true. It's 100% false."
Gina was best friends with David's daughter before they got together. Four months after meeting, the pair started a romance, travelled around the world, and found out they were expecting a baby together (Dr. Phil /Youtube)She added: "I don't wake up and think about these people every morning, so why are they thinking about me? Joni is making these assumptions that I'm using her father for money, and it really does p*** me off.
"His money is not why I want to be with him. Our relationship, it's healthy, it's fun." Gina said she didn't tell her former friend about the relationship as she wanted David to do when it was the "right time".

Meanwhile David had his say, and explained that despite his daughter's disapproval, he is happy in the relationship. The school soft ball coach said: "I've dated younger women but when there's a connection between a man and woman the age shouldn't matter. Gina and I have a great relationship even though there is an age gap."
