Fans of Lee Mack's quiz series The 1% Club have been left scratching their heads over the "hardest 10% question" that every contestant has gotten wrong so far.

The show is based on a set of questions given to 1,000 members of the public, with their answers determining how tough the questions are deemed to be - from 90% to 1% difficulty. Host Lee Mack then asks the 100 starting contestants 15 questions of increasing difficulty, with the most elite players getting closer and closer to those riddles only 1% of the nation got right.

In a previous season there was one query, which was asked at the 10% mark, which really left players in a tizzy, with none of them able to answer it. Can you manage to figure it out?

The question is: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the '?' of January."

It has stumped viewers and players alike, so don't worry if it takes you a while to try and guess it. We're going to reveal the answer shortly so don't worry. The question is designed to confuse you, but once you see the answer you will realise it's quite obvious.

So, the answer is that Amir's birthday will be January 24. This is because in the question each number corresponds to how far into the sentence it is. 6th is the sixth word in the question and 15th is the fifteenth word in the sentence, so by the time we get to the '?' it will be the 24th word, meaning 24 is the date of Amir's birthday.

It's a tricky question, but when the logic is explained it becomes clearer. Did you manage to get it? If so, you've beaten everyone on that episode!
