Cricket unveiled as huge popstar in Masked Singer UK 2024 final
The Masked Singer UK's Cricket finished in third place on Saturday night, where they were revealed to be none other than Lemar.
The hit ITV series launched earlier this year and Saturday night's final saw Cricket,Bigfoot andPiranha take to the stage in a bid to impress the judges -Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and guest Rob Brydon - one last time.
During the episode, Cricket performed a series of stunning performances and at one point was even joined by former character, Mushroom, who was unveiled to be Charlotte Church on the 2022 series. However, Cricket just missed out on winning and instead finished in third place, where they were revealed to be hitmaker Lemar, 45.

I’m a fan of the show. Just getting to express yourself on different songs that people maybe wouldn't expect, that’s been a lot of fun."
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers said Lemar was "robbed". One person said: "Lemar was robbed #maskedsinger", a different account put: "Lemar is too good of a singer to go out before Bigfoot #maskedsinger" while another added: "Lemar is an amazing singer. I can’t believe he’s come 3rd ! Still a great position but should have been 2nd at minimum #MaskedSinger #MaskedSingerUK."
Three new celebrities are set to join The Masked Singer panel this weekend
The Masked Singer UK 2024 launched earlier this year with 12 new characters - Owl, Air Fryer, Bubble Tea, Eiffel Tower, Chicken Caesar, Piranha, Maypole, Cricket, Bigfoot, Dippy Egg, Weather and Rat. Weather became the first character to be unmasked as soul music legend Dionne Warwick and next up was Chicken Caesar who turned out to be Alexander Armstrong.

The fifth character revealed was Owl as Lorraine Kelly.
Next up was Dippy Egg, who was unmasked to be radio and TV presenter Nicky Campbell, and Maypole, who was revealed to be Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, in a double elimination. In the penultimate episode of The Masked Singer UK last week, Airfryer was revealed to be Greatest Showman star Keala Settle while Eiffel Tower was revealed to be 80s pop sensation Tiffany.
The Masked Singer UK first launched in 2020 where Nicola Roberts was announced as the winner after being unmasked as Queen Bee. Since then, Joss Stone won in 2021 as her character Sausage, Natalie Imbruglia won in 2022 as her character Panda and Charlie Simpson won in 2023 as Rhino.
