Meghan Markle drinks cocktails on 'spicy' date with Harry and Michael Bublé
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have enjoyed a cosy double date with Canadian singer Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato whilst in Canada for the Invictus Games countdown.
The Duke and Duchess dined with the married couple for approximately three hours as they visited Vij's in Vancouver, enjoying a cosy dinner date with spicy food, multiple courses and cocktails. The restaurant, which has also been visited by Prince William and Kate in the past, has been a hot spot in Vancouver and provided the perfect setting for the couples to spend time with each other before attending Invictus celebrations the next day.

Chef Vij revealed Harry and Meghan were "extremely friendly and nice" as well as speaking to the kitchen staff who cooked their meal. The restaurant shared a snap of the Duke and Duchess alongside Vij to Instagram as they wrote: "We were truly honored to have Prince Harry and Meghan dine with us at Vij’s last night."

"They came and spoke to the kitchen staff, they were very respectful to let me choose the meal as the chef," he explains. "I said I was going to put something together for them. I asked them if there were any allergies or any things that she didn't feel like having, and Meghan said, 'I love spicy food.' "
At dinner, the group dined on a variety of dishes including goat meat, market shard, potato cream curry and little black chickpea cakes, which were served with rice and naan. One dish the quarter tried included a rack of lamb and with marinated mustard and sweet white wine in a fenugreek cream curry, which Vij had previously cooked for Prince William when he visited Canada alongside Kate. Chef Vij spoke to PEOPLE as he revealed: "It was a very big deal for me to say, 'Hey, this is what your brother loved, and I think you should try this dish."
Vij also revealed that Harry chose to sample Vij's gin in a classic gin and tonic with Meghan having "a couple" cocktails to drink with her meal. During the meal, Vij also noted that Harry and Meghan appeared "extremely affectionate" with each other, as he explained: "You could see the positivity in their relationship, the love, the affection that they have. The fun that they were having with Michael and Michael Bublé’s wife Lu."
The meal came the night before Prince Harry and Meghan attended the third and final day of the Invictus Games One Year to Go celebration on Friday (February 16) at the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver, where they were shown a wheelchair curling demonstration. Winter sports will be a new addition to the Invictus Games next year, with sports including alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing and skeleton as well as wheelchair curling for the first time. The winter sports are in addition to the core Invictus sports such as sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
