Masked Singer's Bigfoot 'gives away identity' hours before ITV final

With just hours left until the final of the Masked Singer, fans will be waiting with bated breath for the big reveal of the ITV show's last remaining performers.

But it looks as though Bigfoot may have burst the bubble for some, as Alex Brooker - who fans are largely convinced is the man behind the yeti costume - broke his silence on the speculation.

Adorable Bigfoot has always belted out songs with his leg in a cast, which has led viewers to look to Alex - given his TV show The Last Leg.

Another clue spotted by viewers is that Alex, 39, signed up to play rugby for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation PDRL team, which they think may explain why he recently dropped a hint about rhinos. But now the most recent clue was noticed during Friday night's episode of his Channel 4 show.

Making reference to the theories made on social media about him being Bigfoot the day before the grand final, Alex teased viewers: "It can't be [me]. I wouldn't go on the tele dressed as something ridiculous. I know you've been talking about this I just have to say this straight off. Look at me now, I am sweating. I am sweating in here tonight."

But his co-host and comedian Josh Widdicombe, who already revealed his suspicious Alex was Bigfoot on his podcast Parenting Hell, joked: "Because you're lying." This prompted Alex to reply saying: "Do you really think that I would be able to go in a costume, a massive hairy costume? They'd open it up, there'd be nothing left. It'd be like the end of the Snowman."

A clip of Bigfoot was played on the show and Alex said: "All I'm saying, how can you watch that and think it's me? It's clearly one of the Backstreet Boys." Josh then responded: "I like Bigfoot because it references you. Flamingo that was the other option. First week Brooker was on as Bigfoot, and we're all clear it is Brooker that's Bigfoot, even though he's lying to us."

And fans seemed to agree with Josh and voiced their theories on X, also known as Twitter. One person said: "AlexBrooker just gave the game away that he's #Bigfoot on #MaskedSingerUK while on #TheLastLeg."

Another said: "Alex is being very quite on @TheLastLeg and has a poker face so he must be big foot on @MaskedSingerUK #MaskedSingerUK #AlexBrooker keep an eye on his face every time big foot or the masked singer is mentioned."

A third added: "They're trying to tease it out of #AlexBrooker about #MaskedSingerUK; aren't they?" From the start of this year's series, 12 celebrities went under a disguise in the hope their identity would not be revealed. But during the course of the ITV show nine stars were unmasked, leaving three people in tonight's final. Joining Bigfoot will be Cricket and Piranha.
