Will Mellor has been best friends with Ralf Little for years, with Ralf currently starring in the new series of BBC detective drama Death In Paradise

Will Mellor made a brutal confession about his best friend's hit show Death In Paradise.

The BBC detective drama is back for a new series with Ralf Little, who is Will's best friend, at the helm as DI Neville Parker. However, Will made an admission about the BBC show, which Neville has now starred in for several years.

During an appearance on The One Show, Will chatted with hosts Angelica Bell and Roman Kemp about his friend Ralf Little, who he is heading out on tour with after the success of their podcast. However, Will made a confession about his best friend's show, which sees Neville try and solve the multiple murders on the fictional island of Saint Marie.

Chatting on The One Show, Angelica Bell asked Will: "You’ve been less than complementary about his show Death In Paradise," when Will quipped back to add: "What? Because I’ve not watched it? I was in Death In Paradise and I played the murderer and I think it just went down hill after that. When I wasn’t in it, there was no point watching it anymore.

"I don’t get to watch much tele anymore, I’m with my family. I see him enough for the podcast!"

Ralf previously opened up about his long standing role on the BBC detective drama series. Speaking about the show's 100th episode milestone, he shared: "Episode sixty nine was my first as DI Neville Parker, which is (almost) 7/10ths of the way to one hundred. So, the bulk of it was already there. But the idea that I'd be able to do another thirty one episodes on top of that to reach one hundred is astonishing. If I'm really honest, I was just hoping to get to the end of the first series and for everybody not to hate it...

"At the risk of sounding like a footballer going, “It's all about the team”, these personal milestones are lovely to reach and they're incredibly satisfying. But it is all about the show, the people loving it and everyone working together. For me to have been here and be lucky enough to lead a stellar cast and be trusted with this legacy is something I can't believe."
