A nurse manager at a hospital has told how he took petty revenge on a woman who he had trouble with while working in a previous job. The 28-year-old said that he received a call from a person looking for a job and he then asked her to apply online for the post. But when he looks at her résumé he realises that the woman, who he calls Bianca, had caused him a lot of grief in the past with his then manager.

He said that when he looked at the woman's résumé, he thought her name was familiar and when he looked up her licence it had a red flag attached, so he rejected her application. The next day she comes in person wanting to meet him and leaves her résumé at the front desk, even though he told her not to.

He told other posters on Reddit that: "I come to the realisation that I’ve worked with this lady a few years ago at another hospital. I was about 22 at the time and I was not a nurse at the time, just a tech. She was the only nurse I did not get along with and we had an argument about getting a temperature on a two-year-old kid with a complaint of fever.

"She wanted me to get the temperature rectally and I told her no because I got it orally instead, the kid is capable of comprehending how to put a thermometer under her tongue. I told her if she wanted a rectal temperature she needed to do it herself. We argue about it, and she gets mad because she is a big lady and had knee problems and she was lazy. She got me in trouble with my manager for not 'helping'."

After he realised who she was, he called his former boss from the old hospital to verify her name. He was then told that she was fired from the job years ago for throwing her badge at his old boss, so he told the front desk clerk to throw her résumé in the shredder and when she called him again, he ignored her call.

The man's fellow posters thought that what he did was the right way to deal with her, and one said: "It amazes me that people treat young people who are under them like crap not realising they may be over them someday," while another agreed, saying: "Oh, so true. I always told my students that I would be good to them, coz they'll probably be helping me in the nursing home someday. And a third said: "I like when the universe gives us these moments for a little payback! Gotta give her credit for being persistent, although probably desperate."
