Prince Harry has revealed he hopes to reunite with his family after his father King Charles was diagnosed with cancer.

The Duke of Sussex opened up about his relationship with the royals in a Good Morning America interview that is airing today. He also talked about his life with the Duchess of Sussex and the Invictus Games during the broadcast.

When asked if an illness in the family could have a "reunifying effect", Prince Harry responded: "Yeah, I'm sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together."

Harry's GMA interview comes after he recently spent time in the UK to visit his father following the monarch's cancer news. The Duke of Sussex rushed to the UK from Los Angeles last week and sat down for a half an hour chat with the King during his visit. It is believed this was their first proper private conversation for 15 months.

He made the visit without without Meghan and their children less than 24 hours after the announcement about Charles' health was made to the nation by Buckingham Palace. During his short visit, there was no meeting between Harry and his older brother Prince William.

The GMA interview comes after the Sussexes also relaunched their Archewell website, rebranding it the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. On Wednesday, Harry and Meghan visited the training camp for the 2025 Invictus Games in Whistler, British Columbia.

Harry tried his hand at sit-skiing, which enables people who might usually use a wheelchair or find it difficult to stand for long periods to ski, both with and without assistance. At the Games next year around 550 competitors from up to 25 nations will compete in indoor adaptive events like sitting volleyball, swimming and wheelchair basketball, and for the first time winter sports like alpine skiing, snowboarding and wheelchair curling will be on the schedule.
