GMB viewers 'delighted' as Adil Ray returns to show after lengthy break

Good Morning Britain fans were thrilled to see Adil Ray back on the show after he was last seen in October.

Kate Garraway joined the popular broadcaster for his first day back. Adil announced his return to the show on Thursday with a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. He shared a lovely picture of him and Kate, writing: "Back on your telly tomorrow with this amazing human! @kategarraway See you at 6 @gmb. Really hope you can join us!" Fans were quick to share their joy at seeing him back on TV.

One viewer was overjoyed, saying: "Delighted to see you back on screen @adilray have dusted off the TV remote to watch again!" Another agreed, writing: "So good to see @adilray back! A presenter who knows how to interview people, who speaks clearly, and who has a great sense of humour!

Meanwhile, a third said: "Great to see you back Adil and great to see the by-election results!" Another fan raved: "Great to see the wonderful @adilray and of course the fabulous @kategarraway on @gmb this morning x." Meanwhile, one penned "@adilray good to see Adil back always brightens up my morning breath of fresh air." Another chimed in: "@GMB and @ ITV At last!! Finally! Adil is in the house @adilray Yay!"

While he was away from the show, Adil was still on our screens, acting rather than presenting. He was one of the stars in the Sky Christmas film, 'Arthur's Whiskey', where he appeared with pop legend Lulu. One scene even featured him sharing a kiss with the renowned Scottish singer.

Besides, he also featured in the gripping Channel 5 drama, 'The Inheritance', which started airing just before he took his break from screen. In addition to his acting and presenting roles, Adil hosts the afternoon game show 'Lingo' on ITV.

Adil mentioned a few days back about his return to the show on social media. On his X account, he posted a promotional shot of him on the show and wrote: "I know this will mildly please some and send others into a violent spin but after a long hiatus I'll be back @gmb next Friday. Then quite a few Fridays in March. Hope you'll join us." Since 2019, Adil has been presenting on the show and also appears later on TV with the word-based quiz show, 'Lingo'.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
