Prince Harry will not be brought back into the close royal circle, as his brother William remains angry at his conduct, pals of the Prince of Wales have been told.

Harry and Meghan Markle have been in high spirits of late during their three-day Invictus Games trip to Canada, with the journey accompanied by reports the Duke could make some sort of return to royal life while King Charles battles cancer.

However, it now appears that any thought of a return is unlikely, given William's continued irritation at Harry's outspoken opinions on The Firm.

Sources close to William say that in the wake of King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, he would be the one to take on more duties himself if needed while it is understood he believes Harry and his wife Meghan “cannot be trusted."

Palace aides' brutal 7-word excuse

Royal aides reportedly blocked Prince Harry from travelling with King Charles to Sandringham because they feared "they would never get rid of him".

The Duke of Sussex rushed from his California home back to London earlier this month when it was revealed the monarch, 75, is battling cancer.

Charles's second son hoped to head to Norfolk, where the King was planning to spend time with Queen Camilla, 76, at the Sandringham estate - but Harry was told the meeting would instead happen over just 30 minutes at Clarence House in London.

“Harry came over to see his father, expecting to go to Sandringham. But instead, he was asked to be at Clarence House and was restricted to 30 minutes,” an insider told The Sun. “The fear was that if he went to Sandringham, they would never get rid of him.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bought their new Sussex.com website name from a businessman who was "very happy" with their cash offer.

British-born, US-based Neil Agate entrepreneur acquired the domain back in 1995 and has turned down numerous offers to sell it over the years - until the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made an anonymous bid.

Police chief who oversaw King's coronation and Queen's funeral hit by online abuse

The police chief who oversaw the King's Coronation and the Queen's funeral has been hit by a torrent of "vile" and "homophobic" online abuse.

Scottish police officer Karen Findlay received an onslaught of offensive comments after the British Transport Police (BTP) posted a photo of her on social media to commemorate her appointment as Assistant Chief Constable. The post read: "We are delighted to announce our new ACC Karen Findlay LVO KPM. A big welcome to Karen, joining us from@metpoliceuk in 2024." Her appointment was targeted by online trolls, many anonymous, making horrendous personal sexist and homophobic comments.

The top officer, who is a rugby coach and former international player for Scotland, was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order in the 2024 New Year Honours list for her services at the Coronation and the Queen's funeral. She has also been awarded the King's Police Medal and had an important role in the police coordination team that worked on security during the 2012 Olympics. The outrageous response prompted both BTP and the Met Police to address the backlash, slamming it as "vile, nasty and homophobic."

Prince William angered by brother Harry and will 'refuse royal return bid'

Prince William has told pals there is no chance Harry will be allowed back into the royal fold.

The Prince of Wales is so angered by his brother’s continued attack on the monarchy that he will block any of his bids to return to The Firm. Sources close to William say that in the wake of King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, he would be the one to take on more duties himself if needed while it is understood he believes Harry and his wife Meghan “cannot be trusted."

Reports have emerged that the Duke of Sussex, who quit as a senior royal with Meghan in 2020, is willing to return to a temporary royal role to support his ailing father. The Duke and Charles are said to have had several “warm exchanges” before Harry flew from his Californian home to the UK last week and spent 30 minutes with his father.

William and the King have had one-to-one meetings at the Royals’ Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where the monarch is recuperating after weekly cancer treatment in London. A source close said there is “no chance” the heir would allow his brother back.

“Whatever has been discussed between William and the King is private, but it is absolutely and categorically clear that he (William) would not allow Harry to return. He thought it was a bad idea at the time and he’s even more clear now.

“If anyone is going to take on more duties it will be William and that isn’t even on the agenda for now. His main focus is on his father’s health, his family and what is best for the monarchy. There is a zero per cent chance Harry is coming back in any capacity.”

Importance of Queen Camilla's support for King more important than ever

Queen Camilla's support privately and publicly is now more important than ever for the King, Sky News Royal Correspondent has said.

Since Buckingham Palace announced the King has cancer, Queen Camilla has taken up the role of travelling the country, rattling through a dozen engagements and bringing a "new unintentional focus onto her work", Rhiannon Mills Royal correspondent wrote.

She has been accepted by many in her new role as has been touring the country undertaking engagements. Mills writes: "That Camilla would be his Queen and centre stage in this way would once have been unthinkable to some."

Ingrid Seward, Editor of Majesty magazine, told Sky: "When Camilla first became truly visible with Prince Charles, our readers didn't like her… the turnaround has been very gradual, and people's memories are very short. They probably don't remember that she was so vilified and hated and she was, actually, after Diana died, she was a complete prisoner in her own house. So much so that Prince Charles's chef used to prepare meals and they would be sent round to her."

Prince William and Kate Middleton's strict house rule for George, Charlotte and Louis

The Royal Family are no strangers to rules - from dress codes to banned words, family traditions and code of conducts - there’s plenty to keep on top of if you want to adhere to the royal etiquette. And it appears that the youngest royals are not exempt from rules either.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly introduced their own selection of rules for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to follow at home. The family of five, who moved to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate last year, have implemented one very important rule for the children when they become too animated or boisterous with one another, it has been claimed.

To keep tensions at bay and maintain a peaceful envrionment at home, the couple have introduced a 'no shouting' rule. A source revealed how Prince William and Kate deal with their three children in a calm, gentle way and never shout at them. A royal source told the Sun: "Shouting is absolutely ‘off limits’ for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal."

The pair have introduced a 'chat sofa' instead of sending their children to a naughty step or to their rooms The source continued: "The naughty child is taken away from the scene of the row or disruption and talked to calmly by either Kate or William. Things are explained and consequences outlined and they never shout at them."

Harry's interview comments on King Charles cancer slammed as 'sickening'

Prince Harry may have alienated himself from the royal family and his father King Charles for good, as his latest bombshell interview appears to have infuriated Buckingham Palace.

He sat down for an interview with Good Morning America whilst spending three days in Canada for celebrations ahead of the 2025 Invictus Games. During the appearance, the Duke of Sussex opened up about his family life in Montecito, his father's cancer diagnosis, and the Invictus Games. In one interview answer he hinted at a possible reconciliation with his family in future as he explained, "I think any illness, any sickness brings families together."

A royal source speaking to The Daily Beast said: "It seems Harry has taken it on himself to use the diagnosis to publicise his own agenda. If it wasn’t so sickening it would be funny. What really would have helped the family come together would have been if Harry had said he wouldn’t be taking questions about his father."

King Charles 'would have to ask Harry to come back into the royal fold'

Prince Harry could be tempted to step back into royal life if King Charles asks him to.

A source close to the Duke of Sussex said “he would try” to help out if his father asked him to, telling Page Six: “I have a hard time believing if his dad asks for his help that Harry would say no, I think he would try.”

But the insider added: “I don’t think it’s something that Harry would ask [to do] on his own.”

Heartbreaking moment for Prince Harry that sparked the Invictus Games

There was one heartbreaking moment that sparked the creation of the Invictus Games for Prince Harry.

The Duke founded the games in 2014 and along with the corresponding foundation it offers a recovery pathway for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

Next year will see its seventh games, but it emerged from the prince's own time spent serving in the army. Harry spent a decade in the army, rising to the rank of Captain and going on two tours of Afghanistan.

It was when returning from one of these deployments that Harry, according to the Invictus Games, "watched as the coffin of a Danish Soldier was loaded aboard for repatriation, alongside three injured British soldiers.

"That moment had a profound impact on him and, following a visit to the US Warrior Games in 2013, he was inspired to create the international Invictus Games to celebrate the unconquered human spirit, and shine a spotlight on these men and women who served."

Prince Harry stands tall for the Invictus Games once more

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games back in 2014, and in the ten years since he has turned up again and again for the cause clearly so close to his heart.

The international sporting event is for veteran and serving servicemen and women who were wounded or injured in the line of duty.

Following his deployment in Afghanistan, Harry invented the games which will enjoy their seventh iteration next year.

But once again this week the Duke, along with the Duchess, turned out for the Invictus Games - meeting competitors ahead of next year's event.

During an interview with Will Reeve, the Duke opened up on a number of different topics from his father's health, to American citizenship, the Invictus Games and more.

In amongst them, he offered an update on his two children. Harry said: “The kids are doing great, the kids are growing like all kids do very, very fast. They’ve both got an incredible sense of humour – make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day, as most kids do.

Prince Harry 'keen on sensational royal return' years after dramatic exit

Prince Harry is reportedly up for a temporary return to the royals, whilst his father undergoes cancer treatment.

The Times newspaper reports the Duke of Sussex has told friends he would step into such a role while Charles is unwell. The duke and his father are said to have had several “warm exchanges” since the King’s illness was diagnosed, it was claimed.

Harry, who stepped down as a working royal alongside his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex in 2020, is a counsellor of state but is not expected to take up any of the King’s duties while he recovers. A royal source has also told the newspaper that Charles, 75, is keen to reconcile and see more of his son, and believes doing so would benefit the monarchy.

Harry backs up royal family and refuses to divulge details on Charles's cancer

Harry stood by his family members and refused to offer any details on Charles's cancer diagnosis.

Buckingham Palace has not given details about Charles’s cancer and Harry declined to divulge any information when asked about his “outlook” on the King’s health, replying “that stays between me and him”. But he said he would be visiting his father in the future: “I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

Speaking to Reeve, Harry said: “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

The duke was asked about his life in America, something he described as “amazing”, and whether he had contemplated becoming a US citizen, with the royal saying he had “considered” it.

Harry added: “The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind but certainly not something that’s a high priority for me right now.”

Asked how he “processed” what was going on with his family in the UK, the royal replied: “I have my own family, as we all do. My family, and my life in California is as it is.”

'Doting' Meghan Markle clasps hands in 'pray position' as Harry takes on daring challenge

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has appeared to be her husband Prince Harry's biggest fan as she watched him proudly at their final Canada appearance.

Inside Meghan and Harry's friendship with Michael Buble after being 'ditched' by Beckhams

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have struck up an unlikely friendship with Michael Buble after the royal couple were 'ditched' by David and Victoria Beckham. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in Canada for a whirlwind three-day tour of Vancouver and Whistler for the One Year To Go celebrations ahead of the 2025 Invictus Games, and on Friday, they hit the ice to try out a winter sport that will be included in the games for the first time. Harry and Meghan were joined by Canadian crooner Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato at the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver as they tried out wheelchair curling.

The 39-year-old prince attempted the tricky sport alongside the Feeling Good hitmaker, and he was cheered on by the singer, as well as Canadian Armed Forces veterans and former Invictus Games competitors. At one point, Michael shouted, “Oh no!” as Harry missed another vital shot, while Meghan watched her husband on the sidelines alongside Luisana.

Their unlikely friendship began in 2015, when the Duchess of Sussex first met Michael at a dinner party hosted by her best friend Jessica Mulroney. The singer is close friends with Jessica’s husband Ben, who is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and Meghan attended the dinner party while filming Suits in Vancouver. She recalled meeting Michael in a post on her now-defunct website The Tig, and called the singer a “delightful guy”.

Duke of Sussex may have to surrender title

Prince Harry may finally be forced to renounce his royal titles if he takes up US citizenship, according to an expert.

Harry and wife Meghan Markle became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by order of the late Queen Elizabeth when they got married in 2018. But they have faced calls to give up the honour ever since they famously stepped away from royal duties in 2020 and delivered a series of blistering attacks on the family in a series of interviews, podcasts and Harry's autobiography, Spare.

Meghan wows in $1,300 cape

Meghan Markle was seen flaunting her glamorous Hollywood wardrobe as she stepped out in a $1,295 Sentaler cape alongside Michael Buble's wife Luisana Lopilato.

This week the Duchess of Sussex showed off her impeccable style as she was seen wearing a Sentaler cape for the third day of the 2025 Invictus Games Training Camp event, One Year To Go in Canada. During the outing, the former Suits star was seen wearing the cape with a shawl collar and belt in a dark camel color while cheering on her husband Prince Harry during the wheelchair curling event.

Meghan's fashionable cape featuring a self-tie belt and cinched waist is one of Sentaler's incomparably soft baby alpaca outerwear pieces. The lavish cape includes the brand's signature ribbed detail on the sleeves and a classic shawl collar perfect for the winter outing. Due to the cape being made out of baby alpaca fabric, the piece contains fibers with microscopic air pockets that act like natural thermal insulators, making the cape not only warm but also lightweight.

Duke of Sussex plans to 'come together' with Royal Family

A source told The Times that Harry is looking to heal some of the divide in an effort to lend a hand. This has already been evidenced by his brief conversation with Charles when he flew into the UK from California. The King is, reportedly receptive to Harry's efforts, too.

An insider said: “On all practical levels it makes perfect sense for the family to come together to support the King while he’s sick. Much has been said on both sides in recent years, but that has never diminished the fundamental bond of blood, and there are now pragmatic aspects to consider, with the King and Kate’s wellbeing paramount in this."
