Twilight star Kristen Stewart gets a sweat on - but not much else - for a risqué photoshoot. The actress promised to "flip the gender script" in the pictures for Rolling Stone magazine.

Kristen, 33, dated Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, 37, and starred alongside another male heartthrob Taylor Lautner, 32. Lashing out at Hollywood stereotypes, the actress – who played Bella in the hit 2000s vampire trilogy – said: "The boys were the sex symbols."

Now Kristen, who came out as bisexual in 2017, says she enjoys dressing femininely but also androgynously, like in these new images taken by Collier Schorr. She said: "There's so much room for success when you choose the girlie one. There's no room for this other one."

Kristen, who stars in a new thriller, Love Lies Bleeding, is engaged to actress Dylan Meyer, 36, and the couple plan to start a family together.

Kristen stars alongside Katy M. O'Brian and Ed Harris in the upcoming film, which is scheduled to be released on April 19 in the UK. She plays the character Lou, whilst co-star Katy was cast in the role of her love-interest Jackie.

The film, directed by Rose Glass, has been described as an "electric new love story". A synopsis teases: "Reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou's criminal family."

It's the latest of Kristen's projects, with her credits in recent years having included films like Crimes of the Future (2022) and Spencer (2021). Her portrayal of Princess Diana in the latter earned the actress an Oscar nomination.

Kristen's previous work includes Happiest Season (2020), Charlie's Angels (2019), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) and Panic Room (2002). Her TV credits include narrating the show Living for the Dead, which she created.

The full photoshoot and interview appears in the March edition of Rolling Stone.
