Kimberley Walsh revealed her heartbreak as she rushed her toddler to hospital.

The Girls Aloud star told her followers it "killed" her to watch her young son, Nate, 2, in pain. Kimberley explained she took her son to the hospital but was sent home before deciding to return to the emergency department when she feared something was still wrong.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "Not exactly how I hoped half term would go. My little climbing monkey fell off the chair and landed funny on his arm. I knew something wasn’t right so we went to A & E to get him checked over.

"The nurse thought he was fine so sent us home but he really wasn’t happy. After a very unsettled night and him really not wanting to use his arm at all we took him back the next day and asked for an X-ray."

"Turned out he had dislocated his elbow. Poor little thing was so brave it kills me. Moral of the story is trust your instincts," she continued in the lengthly post: "I knew something was wrong thank god we went back. He’s back to his normal self again but unfortunately the climbing hasn’t stopped."

Kimberley is a mum to three sons, Bobby, eight, Cole, six and Nate, with her husband Justin Scott. Speaking when Nate was born to OK! Magazine, Kimberley revealed that it felt "quite special" to be a mum to three boys as

Even at school, loads of my friends were boys and I’m not the most girly girl, which is probably surprising to some people because of me being in a girl band and all the glamour, but there’s less guessing with boys "male energy is more straightforward and I’ve always liked that".

The Girls Aloud star will be heading out on tour later this year with Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts. The group will perform for the first time without fifth member Sarah Harding, who died of breast cancer in 2021 aged just 39.

Speaking about the shows, which will be dedicated to Sarah, Kimberley said: "For us, it will feel very much like she's there. She came alive on stage. That was the happiest she ever was."

Girls Aloud were formed 21 years ago on reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals and achieved 21 top 10 hits, including four number ones and Brit Award-winning single The Promise.
