Pranksters leave fake parking tickets on cars - threatening drivers with fines

Motorists have been left confused and worried after finding fake £70 parking tickets plastered on their cars.

The local council believes someone might be trying to stop drivers from parking near their house by leaving these realistic-looking tickets. These tickets were found on cars parked on Green Street in Bridgend, Wales.

The council is now trying to find out who is behind the prank. At first glance the tickets look real but is littered with spelling errors. The council has warned even if it is meant as a joke, making fake tickets could be seen as fraud.

They've asked anyone who gets a ticket they think might not be real to get in touch. The fake notice reads: "The warning serves as an official notice regarding the break of parking regulations. Please take immediate action to familiarize yourself with and adhere to the parking regulations within our community."

It then warns immediate action is needed, telling drivers to "refrain from parking in resident-only areas without the appropriate authorization [sic]", WalesOnline reported. It continues: "Failure to comply with parking regulations may result in fines up to £70 or further enforcement action."
