Jennifer Lopez was "keen to kiss" husband Ben Affleck in a flirty exchange at the premiere of her new movie This Is Me… Now: A Love Story.

The Hollywood couple attended the star-studded ceremony at the Dolby Theatre on Tuesday night as they looked every bit the loving power pair. Now a body language expert tells The Mirror how Ben dodged his usual "red carpet rebel" attitude.

Exclusively analysing new photographs from the glitzy bash, Judi James tells us that the "red carpet veterans" oozed authenticity as they posed for snappers. "Ben and Jen almost invented the routine when it comes to getting the kisses and other PDAs right."

She continued: "Ben has been a bit of a body language rebel though, either performing a distracted kiss when he looks away while pressing lips, or creating ‘moments’ when he has, mistakenly or not, managed to look a little bored or fractious.

‌"Here he is totally en pointe though, running through the ‘Hug, Nuzzle, Whisper, Kiss’ combo with skill and perfection. These red carpet kisses are choreographed rituals that show very little about a couple’s authentic relationship but there is a sense here that Ben (With his donut ad success ringing in his ears) seems more relaxed and good humoured about running the gauntlet of the cameras."

Judi revealed their kiss is a "sweet version of the ‘guppy’ kiss", where the heads are held facing and the lips gently pressed together. She added: "Ben's eye cut off looks more romantic that his distracted glances and he looks happy doing the neck-nuzzle, which allows Jen to show her face fully to the camera with an expression of bliss."

"There was more kissing at the party though, with Jen looking keen to kiss and flirt with Ben while he responded by chatting in a happy, animated way," she revealed. "This looked like a more intimate moment rather than a polished PDA and the proximity signals and more intimate chatting and kissing did hint at some more authentic and less performed affection. Jen holds Ben’s face with one hand to steer the two kisses here and as he chats she gazes intensely at him in loving close-up."

Judi concluded: "The first kiss is brief but the second one lasts a little longer, taking out of the red carpet PDA category and into a slightly more passionate zone." It comes after J.Lo spoke about her love journey with Ben, as she graced the latest cover of Variety. She also dished about her new project, studio album, This Is Me... Now.

The two were engaged in 2003 and called off their relationship in 2004. Ben later married Jennifer Garner and Jennifer married Marc Anthony, who they both had children with and later divorced. Ben and Jennifer rekindled their relationship in 2021 and married in 2022.

In her interview with Variety, Jennifer opened up about rediscovering her and Ben after trying to figure it out. She said: "You have trauma from your past. You have these patterns you haven’t figured out yet. And you get into these relationships where you compromise yourself in ways that you never thought you would. Or you allow people to treat you in ways that you never thought you would….And that certainly has happened to me."

Jen said tat her relationship with Ben was crumbling "under the weight of the pressure." They both lost themselves and needed to go their separate ways since they did not know how to get through. She said: "I had to figure myself out, and he had to figure himself out."
