Omid Scobie has spoken out

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's mouthpiece, Omid Scobie, has broken his silence on the uproar over the couple's new website.

Last night it emerged that the couple launched a brand new website titled Sussex.com, which followed on from the launch of their SussexRoyal.com website a few years ago in 2020, ahead of their departure from both the Royal Family and the United Kingdom.

And following the backlash that the couple has received since their new website went live, Royal author Omid Scobie, who has often been referred to as the Sussexes' "mouthpiece", has broken his silence on social media.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Omid addressed the controversy surrounding the new site, writing: "The fact that a fairly simple homepage has spawned dozens of moaning op-eds, and furious pearl clutching from commentators, proves that many here literally have nothing better to do. Move on!"

He then urged: "Touch grass. Find an interesting story. This is all so tediously boring."

Responding to Omid's post, one of his followers penned: "I personally love how triggered they are. May they rant for years and find no happiness in their own lives." To which Omid responded: "It’s embarrassing to watch."

Someone else simply replied with "Well said", while another added, "It's just a website".

On the new site, Meghan and Harry, who relocated to Montecito, California, after stepping down from being active members of the Royal Family, do use their royal titles - which is what has caused some of the backlash from the public. The new website also mentioned the couple's children - Prince and Princess Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.

Omid, who has broken his silence on the backlash of the new site, is known for having worked on the book Finding Freedom, which is about the Sussexes. He is also known for having penned bombshell book titled Endgame, which came out last year.

His book Endgame made headlines when the two senior royals, who allegedly raised "concerns" and had "conversations" about the colour of Prince Archie's skin before he was born, as hinted at in Harry and Meghan's Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, were named in a Dutch translation of Scobie's scathing new book.

In 2022, Meghan sensationally admitted that a former aide gave the author help with Scobie's first book Finding Freedom. The biography, which was released in August 2020 and details Harry and Meghan's married life and their split from the Royal Family, was supposedly unauthorised. But it later emerged in court that Meghan did know about it.
