Kym Marsh has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her son Archie, who tragically passed away just moments after his birth 15 years ago.

The former Coronation Street star posted a touching photo on Instagram, which included a print of Archie's tiny feet and a candle with the initial 'A' on it. She captioned the emotional image: "15 years since life changed forever. 15 years of missing you, of loving you, of wishing we could hold you again.

"Of wishing we could hear your laugh for the first time. Wishing we had heard your voice. Wishing we had got to see you play and run and enjoy your birthdays, as you so deserved to do. We will never have those things with you Archie but you live on in us all," she added.

Kym then expressed how she plans to "celebrate" her son, and the "beautiful boy," that he was. She said: "We will smile at the thought of your face and we will hug each other as if from you." However, Kym noted that "this year is a little bit more special," as it also marks the first year without her father, David Marsh, who sadly died after a "long battle" with prostate cancer last month.

Kym explained that Archie should look out for his Grandad in heaven, who will be giving him "big cuddles from us all." "I know you will cuddle him right back for us," she penned, before adding that it's "comforting" to know that they will be together. "Although we will always be missing our jigsaw piece, we know you are creating your own jigsaw up there that one day we will all be a part of, until we are complete again."

Kym concluded the emotional post with: "Happy birthday son. We love you always and forever. Kiss Grandad from us." Fans flocked to the comment section to offer their support to Kym and her family. "So much love to you and your little boy up there with his Grandad," one person penned, as a second said: "Thinking of Archie and thinking of you. I'm sure he was waiting for your dad and ran with open arms to hug him."

Meanwhile, a third added: "Sending light and love to you all Kym," while a fourth typed: "I can't believe it's 15yrs darling. You were so brave then and so brave now." Last month Kym took to Instagram to pay tribute to her dad with a heartwarming photo of the pair embracing. She captioned the post: "For the first time in my life….I have no words.

"I love you, dad. Always and forever. Rest easy Pops. Goodnight god bless." Kym's famous pals rushed to share their support as former co-star Faye Brookes wrote: "Sending you and your family all the love beautiful lady." Matt Goss commented: "Truly sending so much love," while actor Charlie Condou added: "Oh Kym, I’m so so sorry. He was a truly wonderful man and the most fantastic Dad. You were blessed to have him. I’m sending you so much love darling xxx."
