Data suggests that the game will likely finish just under four hours after it starts. The whole Super Bowl event, including pre and post game analysis, usually lasts between three to four hours with an average Super Bowl running for about three hours and twelve minutes.

The Super Bowl consists of four 15-minute quarters, with a 30-minute halftime break after the first two quarters. A regular-season halftime is only 12 minutes, but the Super Bowl half time show lasts for 12 to 15 minutes with popular performers like Rihanna, The Weekend, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake all performing in recent years. Usher will take centre stage on Sunday evening.

As for the game, video reviews of contentious rulings, penalties, and time-outs are additional elements that potentially add to the Super Bowl's duration, as well as the commercials and halftime show.

The longest Super Bowl in NFL history was Super Bowl XLVII when the Baltimore Ravens beat the 49ers in four hours and 14 minutes - this included a 34-minute pause caused by a notorious power outage at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Super Bowl XXXVIII, where the New England Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers, was another championship game that lasted over four hours. Even the only Super Bowl to go into overtime - between the Patriots and Atlanta Falcons in 2017 - lasted for three hours and 47 minutes.

The Chiefs are set to play against the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, a rematch of Super Bowl LIV. In that game, Mahomes led Kansas City to an impressive 31-20 victory. The match is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 11.
