Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes superstar and son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, has confidently claimed he'd be one of the best quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft - if he chose to declare.

Despite deciding to stay on for his senior season at college before entering the draft next year, he believes he outshines all other potential picks. The 22 year old told Sports Illustrated: "I'm biased, but I don't see a quarterback that's better than me," and "I don't see a quarterback that went through as much adversity as me, that had four [offensive coordinators] in four years."

He added: "Coming from an HBCU (Historically black college and university), coming to a Power Five [school], having real pressure on me. A lot of people don't understand, that's a lot more adversity than you think just even being the son of Deion Sanders."

Sanders had two fantastic seasons at the FCS level with Jackson State, where his dad was also the head coach. He managed to score 6,963 passing yards and 70 touchdowns against just 14 interceptions. There were questions about whether Sanders' success would carry over to the Power Five level, but he had a brilliant first season with the Buffs in 2023.

Despite the season ending with a 4-7 record after a 3-0 start, Sanders was outstanding, even behind arguably the worst offensive line in college football. He racked up 3,230 passing yards and 27 touchdowns with only three picks. And despite just one season at the FBS level, Sanders believes he has an advantage over the 2024 quarterback class.

Williams won the Heisman Trophy in 2022 after an amazing 42-touchdown season for The Trojans. Even though he had a bit of a slump in 2023, his dynamic skills make him an exciting prospect for the NFL. Maye, on the other hand, has been compared to Los Angeles Chargers star Justin Herbert because of his ideal size and arm strength.

Daniels won the Heisman Trophy this season, scoring 40 touchdowns through the air and 10 on the ground. He's the wildcard of the quarterback class, with teams likely to be impressed by his athletic abilities at the combine in Indianapolis next month, which could significantly increase his draft stock.
