While out at a pub for a friend's stag do, one man explained that Margot Robbie stole the show.

The group of friends weren't anywhere near a big city, making the ordeal all the more surreal. In a remote bar in Scotland, they got to chatting about recent releases in the theaters. At the time Barbie and Oppenheimer were going head-to-head at the box office, so naturally chatter about the year's biggest movie was inevitable.

Margot described her point of view during a Los Angeles screening. She said: "I listened for about 30 minutes to a group of guys on a bachelor party discussing the Barbie movie not knowing that I was sitting two or three feet away from them."

The best man, Tony, told MailOnline that he didn't know Margot was there, but remembered noticing "an attractive lady at the table" within his sight. Luckily, he said the guys were only really giving the movie compliments and one of the guys "did say that we should go see it 'for the culture.'"

The actress wasn't planning on intervening or making her presence known, but on the way out, she changed her mind. Margot stopped by the table and said: "Thank you for seeing the Barbie movie."

"It was very funny, they lost it. It took a full minute for them to realise and I was practically out the door and they went 'Ohhhh,'" she explained. Tony said that he noticed Margot when she got up and saw her approach the table, but still the connection hadn't clicked for him.

He explained: "She turned around and walked out right afterwards and we all just sat there with our jaws on the floor. Then we all started freaking out, some of us yelling "was that actually her?!". The waitress came out at that point dying laughing and said, 'we heard you start talking about Barbie and were back in the kitchen freaking out. We were hoping you didn't say anything bad!'"

When the group went back to London for the wedding, Tony made a point to brag about the story in his best man speech. He said it was a highlight of the trip for the lads.

Margot was excited about the experience. She said: "People's reactions to the movie have been the biggest reward of this entire experience. Whether it's having a moment like that, or whether it's listening in the bathrooms, or whether it's seeing what people are writing online."
