Air Fryer on Masked Singer UK 'rumbled' by fans as West End and movie star
The Masked Singer viewers "know" who Air Fryer is on the ITV series ahead of them being unmasked.
Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were back to the guessing game on Saturday night for the semi-final, hosted by Joel Dommett. Guest judge Lorraine Kelly joined them as they and viewers tried to work out who the final five were.
Bigfoot, Cricket, Air Fryer, Piranha and Eiffel Tower battled it out for a place in next weekend's final, with a double elimination hanging over their heads. Each act dropped some new clues before delivering an epic performance, with fans now convinced they have worked out who each of the costumes are.
Air Fryer in particular left fans sure they knew the star under the mask, with many viewers convinced it was a movie and West End star. Taking to X, fans shared their theory that Sister Act and The Greatest Showman favourite Keala Settle was Air Fryer.

Another said: "Air Fryer is definitely Keala Settle. 100%. If it's not, I'll eat my hat...." as a third added: "Gotta say, I really think Air Fryer is Keala Settle.. her voice is very distinctive, and all the clues fit."

A fourth viewer wrote: "Keala Settle nailing Defying Gravity when she's set to star in the Wicked movies is the most subtle yet unsubtle of hints." It comes after a number of eliminations since the series began in December, with the first double exit airing last week. Last weekend we saw Dippy Egg unmasked as Davina’s pal Nicky Campbell in an emotional moment.
Nicky burst into tears as he performed, with Davina also crying at the sweet performance. That same night, Pussycat Dolls singer Melody Thornton was unmasked as Maypole.
Taking to X, fans shared their theory that The Greatest Showman favourite Keala Settle was Air Fryer (Getty Images for The Recording Academy)Like with Nicky, none of the panel guessed Melody was under the mask, while Rita said it was obvious once she realised. The week before Melody’s unmasking, Owl was revealed to be ITV ’s Lorraine Kelly, who happened to be a guest panellist on the show in the latest episode.
Julia Sawalha was another name unmasked on the series, with her confirmed to be Bubble Tea last month. Meanwhile, Rat was unmasked as Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas a few weeks ago. Speaking about joining The Masked Singer, she said: "The worst part of performing in the costume is the head gets very hot, it feels quite claustrophobic.
“The best thing is that I’ve fallen in love with Rat and actually don’t want to leave him. I want him to be in my house! He’s a character I will hold close to my heart forever. I enjoyed my journey with Rat!"
The week prior it was revealed that Chicken Caesar was Alexander Armstrong. The TV star and comedian is known for the likes of Pointless, Armstrong and Miller and Classic FM. Explaining the slew of clues on the show, it was revealed the BRIT Award was actually the Classic BRIT Awards, which Alexander hosted.
Other clues included: "I'm a great Roman Explorer", which was a nod to presenting the documentary Rome's Invisible City. Elsewhere, "LXX is 70 in Roman numerals, a reference to Alexander's year of birth 1970", "Chicken Caesar's accent was a nod to Alexander being born in the North East" and "history and friend in the city, hinted to starring in Horrible Histories: The Movie with Kim Cattrall".
In week one, Weather unmasked as Dionne Warwick on the series. Music icon Dionne left the panel starstruck as she unveiled herself as the star under the costume.
She then shared her joy at being asked to do the series, but admitted the struggles she faced trying to disguise her voice on the show. Clues included being powerful and dominating, and weathering the storm - as well as references to Blues music.
