Princess Eugenie shares cute message to mark son August's birthday milestone
Princess Eugenie has shared a sweet birthday message to mark her son’s special day in a post on Instagram.
Little August, whom the princess had with husband Jack Brookshank, turned three yesterday. To celebrate, Eugenie, 33, shared a picture of her and her son sitting together against a brick wall in warm clothes, grinning together. In another image she is seen giving her son a peck on the cheek and in another she wears a huge smile as she gives him and brother Ernest a cuddle.
Eugenie wrote on Instagram: “Happy 3rd Birthday to our dearest Augie. Forever a force of nature and forever giggling with you.”
Several Royal fans queued up to share their own birthday wishes for the little tot. One said: “How is he 3!!! Already!!!! Awww happy birthday Augie.” Another added: “Happy 3rd Birthday to August! Wishing him many more blessings to come and to have a wonderful one.” Another said: “Happy Birthday to August!"
The mum welcomed her second child Ernest in May last year who became the first of the to be born since her death. Since August's arrival on February 9, 2021, much has changed for the royals - with the deaths of not only the beloved monarch, but Eugenie's late grandfather in April 2021.

August is 12th in line to the throne (@princesseugenie/Instagram)August's full name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank - and his name pays tribute to the late Duke of Edinburgh, who died just weeks after Eugenie welcomed her son. When Ernest was born the princess posted two sweet snaps of the newborn - one of him wearing a knitted blue-and-white hat, asleep in a Moses basket, and one of older son August tenderly stroking his brother's head.
His full name is and the family revealed the infant's names were inspired by several family members - including a former monarch. The baby's great-great-great grandfather George is George V, the grandfather of the late Queen, who was King from May 1910 until his death in December 1936 - who had Ernest as one of his middle names.
The brothers are 12th and 13th in line to the throne.
