The last moments of audio onboard a plane before its fatal crash-landing and explosion on a highway in Naples, Florida, have revealed the panic and chaos of the pilot and air controllers alike.

Killing two and injuring at least three, the small craft collided with a vehicle as it was forced to make a premature emergency grounding before it reached Naples airport. Miraculously, eye-witnesses to the event said they saw three people walk away from the exploded plane engulfed in flames as ambulances rushed to the scene.

The Pilot attempting the landing said “We're not going to make it to the runway. We lost both engines’’ before careering into the wall of the I-75 in Collier County near Pine Ridge Rd, in . New audio has now revealed the frantic exchange between the pilot and air controller. The pilot said: “OK, Challenger, Hop-A-Jet 823, lost both engines, emergency. I'm making an emergency landing.”

Despite the air traffic warden giving the plane the go-ahead, the pilot quickly made another announcement, saying: “We're clear to land but we're not gonna make the runway. We've lost both engines.” Heavy silence is followed by unintelligible chaos taking hold of the plane, as air traffic control attempts to make contact - another controller raises the alarm saying: “Everybody stands by, there's an emergency in progress, everybody stand by.”

The emergency helicopter then receives clearance to land at the scene. there were five people when it crashed. Two people are confirmed dead after the plane went down at 3:15 pm EST on the interstate around mile marker 111. The Naples airport confirmed that three people made it out of the airplane. Witnesses confirmed they saw three people exiting the plane and walking as ambulances came to assist them.

As the plane burned, individuals were getting out of their cars and approaching the plane, wondering how they could help.

All southbound lanes are now closed, and a massive emergency response has been reported in the area. The 1-75 will now be closed for at least 24 hours, affecting thousands of motorists. The Director of Communications for the Naples airport confirmed that three people made it out of the plane alive in a phone call to NBC.

"There were five souls aboard the airplane. Three made it out. Two did not. So this is a private aircraft and it departed ... Columbus, Ohio... Maybe about 3-4 minutes before they would arrive at the airport when the pilot communicated that they lost both engines. Then we lost contact with them." She added that they immediately sent out alerts and emergency teams were dispatched the minute the confirmed where the airplane was.
