Rodri fires cutting 'fashion week' jibe at Grealish after "worst dresser" dig
Rodri has playfully hit back at Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish - and jokingly told him he belongs in Milan fashion week.
England star Grealish claimed that Rodri was the “worst dresser” at the club and also had the worst taste in music. But Rodri has now had his say and says that Grealish and some of his City teammates would be more at home on the catwalk rather than in a dressing room.
Rodri said: “What they don’t understand is that I say: ‘Guys, I don’t need to be in the fashion week to come to train.’ I wear my tracksuit or whatever. I will do better when I go to dinner or whatever but not when I go training. I’m not going to dress like the fashion week of Milan every day!”
And on having the worst taste in music, Rodri - who likes Coldplay and Rihanna - says he finds their music a turn-off. When asked about Grealish’s jibe, Rodri laughed: “Are you completely serious? If you listen here it’s trap, rap, I don’t like that stuff! I am a pop guy. I’m normal.”
Rodri and Grealish both played their part in a historic campaign for City last year as Pep Guardiola's side clocked up a tremendous treble after retaining their Premier League crown and breaking their Champions League duck.

He said: “You see Phil Foden? How old is Phil Foden? The new players like Jeremy Doku, Matheus Nunes, Mateo Kovacic is older, but you see younger players like Rico Lewis, Oscar Bobb. You see players like Kevin [De Bruyne], Kyle [Walker] and they have had ten or 15 years of football and still they have more football in them.
“He (Pep) is great at finding the way to motivate you, he’s so great at that and when you don’t perform well, he’s like: ‘I don’t like this, I don’t like it.’ He’s the first thing that doesn’t allow you and we just switch on.
“I am still young! But with these players, like Rico Lewis, they make you feel like you’re not young but I still have a lot of potential to grow and this is something I have shown since I signed for City.
“My vision for every year until now has been to get better so it’s something I want until the last day until I retire. That would be in my mind to be better every day.”
