A woman who is accused of killing a new bridge on her wedding night while drunk driving has started to plan her wedding from behind bars.

Jamie Lee Komorski, 26, was three times over the legal blood-alcohol limit when she crashed her Toyota into a golf cart that was carrying Samantha Miller, 34, and her new husband Aric Hutchinson, 36, as they left their beach wedding reception in April last year.

Miller sadly died in her wedding dress from her severe injuries. Komorski is currently inside the Al Cannon Detention Center where she is awaiting a trial on four felony charges including reckless homicide resulting in death. A recorded call from Komorski heard her sobbing to her father on the phone.

She said: “I want you to be at my wedding. I want you to walk me down the aisle. I want you to be with me. I want to go on walks with you.” The New Jersey woman faces up to 25 years in jail over the fatal crash which also injured three others including the groom in Folly Beach near Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated from Coastal Carolina University and told her dad Charles she "hates not knowing" what her fate will be, according to audio released by The Charleston County Sheriff's Office (CCSO).

Komoroski is still believed to be dating boyfriend Evan Tatro, who has stood by her since the fatal crash, New York Post reports. During a call between the two in December, Komoroski gushed over how he picked her mom up at the airport while she was in jail and thanked him for his help.

She said: “It means a lot to me,” she told him during one call. I can’t wait to get a hug from you, oh my gosh, you had just better wear a rain jacket." Komoroski was heard telling Tatro about her day and even told him she often showers just for something to do. She went on to discuss the friends she had made with a fellow inmate and how they pass the time by playing Monopoly and watching TV shows, including The Vampire Diaries.

She told him: “You can watch TV, play cards or go in the rec yard and there is one medicine ball. I can’t believe its already December honestly, I really can’t. This is the hardest part, you know, so, we’re getting through it. I miss you.”

As the phone call ended the pair exchanged "I love yous" before hanging up. Komorsky has shared pictures of her and logistics manager Tatro kissing and cuddling on her Instagram page. During the call, neither Komorski nor her relatives mentioned Hutchinson or Miller in any of their conversations. Prosecutors allege Komoroski was speeding and extremely intoxicated when she slammed her car into the back of the golf cart carrying the bride, groom, and two wedding guests.

Defense lawyers for Komorski tried to get her released with a £100,000 bond on the condition she would enter a rehabilitation programme. They also cited Komoroski’s lack of prior criminal history and strong family support.

During a final court appearance in August, which was attended by Miller's mother, Judge Michael Nettles ordered Komorski to remain behind bars until the start of the trial, scheduled to get underway in March. If there is any delay in the trial, Komoroski could be released on £150,000 bond but would be subject to electronic monitoring and placed on house arrest.
