Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps star Ralf Little looked completely unrecognisable in a dramatic throwback picture shared on his birthday.

The Death in Paradise actor, who just turned 43 years old, was a young child with dark hair and determined eyes in a snap posted on the official Two Pints Podcast page on Instagram. He completed his dramatic look with what looked like dark eyeliner and a silky blue vest.

"On this day *Ahem* years ago, a Leading man was born!" the caption read. "Happy Birthday @ralf.little from @willmellor76 and all of the team!" Ralf's friend and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps co-star Will Mellor rushed to the comment section to joke about his drastic look.

He said: "He looks like Judy Garland!!!" to which some fans responded Ralf looked more like Liza Minnelli. Will added: "I meant Liza Minnelli!!" Fans loved the childhood photo and said: "I had to check who posted this," while another commented: "Yes yes Ralf MUST do Strictly!" Will returned to the comment section and posted: "He’s destined for @bbcstrictly!!"

It comes after Will revealed he asked BBC Three bosses to return Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps to the network when the channel relaunched in 2022. The British actor, best known for playing Gaz Wilkinson in the comedy, admitted he thought that the channel's resurrection after six years would be the perfect time to reprise his role alongside his fellow castmates.

The series, which also starred Sheridan Smith and Kathryn Drysdale, aired its final episode in May 2011 after a decade on TV. The hilarious sitcom revolved around the unglamorous lives of five friends in the Northern town of Runcorn and their pursuit of simple pleasure in the form of booze, food and sex. Despite failing to win critical acclaim, it enjoyed high ratings during its reign and has always had a diehard fanbase.

"I said I would do another one, just to say thank you to the people who supported it because it ran for ten years," Will told the Daily Mail. "Everyone still talks to me every day in the street about it. Every day, someone will mention it. Their favourite show, growing up and, you know, had a cult following, and it'd be nice to do another series just to see where they are now."

He previously teased a return in 2022 and shared his idea for a 'revamped' version of the show. "It's called Two Pints: Last Orders," he explained. "It's really funny. It's been brought up to the modern day but Gaz and Johnny are still very old school and sit in the pub talking about pies and beer. The BBC said no, they don't want to revisit Two Pints."
