BGT judge Amanda Holden leaves show in chaos after breaking major rule
Amanda Holden decided to throw caution to the wind and risk the wrath of ITV bosses when she broke a major rule during the live auditions of Britain's Got Talent.
The mother of two, 52, was left enthralled by a comedy act at the Manchester auditions and decided to fast track them straight through to the semi-finals by pressing her golden buzzer. But she failed to remember that she had already pressed the buzzer for a musical theatre singer at a previous audition. But it seems as though Simon Cowell and TV bosses were fairly relaxed over Amanda's mishap and this may be down to the fact that Bruno Tonioli had also made the same mistake during his debut on the show.

According to The Sun, a TV insider said: "Bruno was almost moved to tears watching his golden buzzer dance act - and was first to slam down on the button so hard that it cracked. He was shortly followed by Simon, who sent a Japanese dance act through to the live shows." They continued: "And finally, Amanda was impressed by a female theatre singer that she was keen to give a shot in the live rounds and was last to press the buzzer.”
Addressing the live crowd, Simon said: "I’m very excited, we don’t know who is going to come on and we’ll meet people together. This year there’s just one rule: be as naughty as you want.” Unlike Amanda, Bruno broke the rules by pressing his buzzer far too early - even before the Ugandan dance act called Ghetto Kids, had even finished performing.
But unable to contain his excitement, he slammed the buzzer so hard it broke. In an interview with the Mailonline, he said at the time: "Well, that was pretty quick! It was the second or third day. I was laughing my head off thinking, 'You definitely haven't watched the show, have you?' And then I thought, 'Actually, this is brilliant because it has never happened before'. And just looking at Bruno's face, he was happy. Then when someone ran up to him and said, 'Well, you're supposed to do it at the end,' he was mortified! "

He added: "I said, 'It doesn't matter, Bruno. You just gave them the golden buzzer. Who cares?'" It was reported that Simon's relaxed nature at the time was down to the fact that the act deserved to have been put through to the semi-finals. And the TV show's Twitter page also commented on Bruno's blunder. Posting a clip of his mistake the caption read: "Nothing's gonna stop Ghetto Kids' POWER performance... Not even a Golden Buzzer halfway through!"
Speaking on his mistake Bruno said: "Now, I hold my hands up. I realise now I was supposed to wait until after they'd performed to press it! I just felt it in my bones and went for it!" He added: "Honestly, I had no idea. Nobody really ever explained that process to me. All I knew was I had a golden buzzer, but they never told me when I was supposed to press it!"
