Love Island's Faye Winter admits she recorded arguments with ex Teddy Soares

Faye Winter has revealed why she would record arguments with her ex-boyfriend Teddy Soares.

The former Love Island star, 28, and Teddy called time on their romance last year, after meeting in the villa during their time on the ITV2 dating series in 2021. Faye announced the split to her fans in February, saying at the time: "I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us. I'm forever grateful."

Speaking one year on from the break-up, Faye has now revealed details of her rows with Teddy prior to their split, and admitted she often used to hit record when they would clash. "It's bad and actually psychotic to a point because I've got recordings on my phone," the reality TV star said.

She continued to explain on the Boots presents Taboo Talk show: "I wanted to listen back to how I speak and what I say in arguments. It's really not good, but now I listen back and I think actually we were both really distraught, we were both in a bad place and both hurting. It wasn't one-sided but I didn't want to put it out publicly that I was crying and upset."

Faye, who was with Teddy for 18 months before their split, was then asked if she was on good terms with her ex. Responding to a question regarding if she could ever be friends with Teddy these days, Faye bluntly replied: "No. I'd walk past him if I saw him in the street."

Chatting exclusively to the Mirror earlier this week, Faye revealed she'd been "dipping in and out" of this year's first offering from the Love Island franchise - admitting "you can't get away" from All Stars content on social media. Addressing the Islanders enjoying a second stint in the villa, Faye declared: "I mean, they're brave for doing it a second time around, Love Island is incredible, there have been amazing couples come out of that show so it proves it can work. I'm proud of my two friends that are in there and I'm really proud of everybody who's gone in their two do it a second time."

She went on to add: "It is hard, it is reality TV but it's incredible, good for them. I'm away from it, whereas a lot of people know each other in the villa at the moment, I don't know any of them, apart from a couple from my series and a few I've met at events, I'm in Devon, I'm not in that circle, I don't know any of them really, apart from the people that I would class as my friends.

"It's funny to watch and see who knows each other but I don't know what they have up their sleeves, I don't know what the producers are going to be producing but as long as people watch it for what it is, which is entertainment and reality TV where people find love in the sun is meant to be an easy watch."
