Faye Winter shares messages from Toby Aromolaran as fans question his behaviour
Faye Winter has shared private messages from Toby Aromolaran to show "what he is really like".
The former Love Island star, 28, has come to the defence of Toby after fans started to question his behaviour. It comes after the 24-year-old returned to the Love Island villa for a second chance at finding love on the new All Stars series. Tensions have been brewing in the South African villa after Toby chose to couple up with Georgia Steel - dumping Arabella Chi and stealing her off Callum Jones without warning.
Earlier this week Toby confessed that he and Georgia had potentially underestimated the feelings that were growing between them. However, viewers were outraged by Georgia’s behaviour - accusing her of toying with the emotions of both Callum and Toby. Her family have since hit out following "vile" messages about the Islander, while Toby has been slammed for his unexpected recoupling move.
While Faye has leapt the the defence of Toby by sharing a screenshot of their messages to each other. In a Q&A with her fans, one follower asked: "How do you feel about Toby's moves on LI All Stars?" Faye's screenshot showed texts between herself and Toby as he asked her if he could visit her in Devon.
She then wrote in a caption: "Toby is one of the most incredible people in my life and that I've ever met, I'm so grateful for him so before anyone starts to slate or slander him, this is the kind of soul he is! I was going through such a tough time and he drove 4 and a half hours to Devon to support me!
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and Tanyel"He has the heart of gold and deserves the world and for someone to treat him the way he threats those closest to him. I will defend him what ever his choices." Faye had appeared on Love Island back in 2021 where she ended up finishing third with ex Teddy Soares. She recently opened up about her close friends Toby and Kaz being in the villa to The Mirror.
Faye told us: "I mean, they're brave for doing it a second time around, Love Island is incredible, there have been amazing couples come out of that show so it proves it can work. I'm proud of my two friends that are in there and I'm really proud of everybody who's gone in their two do it a second time. It is hard, it is reality TV but it's incredible, good for them."
She added: "It's hard seeing things on the outside that people are saying, especially about people you know. I know Toby and I know Kaz, some things I see I'm a bit like 'Hang on, you've got it wrong!' It's difficult, that side of things and now I realise how my friends and family felt when I was inside the villa."
Toby has been linked to Faye since his split from Chloe Burrows but insisted they are "just good friends". However, ahead of his stint in the villa Toby told the Mirror if Faye was to walk into the villa he would not rule out them taking their friendship to the next level. He told us: “That’s my bestie! I love Faye to pieces but on a romantic level? I don’t think so but you know the Love Island villa is crazy.
"You could be with someone one day and that person could be a friend and four weeks down the line you could be in the final with that person and in a relationship of a week long. You can never say never. In a villa scenario you pull back the layers and develop at a speed you never would on the outside."
