A brand new reality show about hot young singles has landed on our screens with fan-favourite presenter Rylan Clark hosting the chaotic series.

The new Prime Video show, Hot Mess Summer, follows eight individuals jetting off to Zante, Greece, under the pretence they'll be enjoying the boozy summer of their lives. However, they're soon horrified to find out the summer paradise they were promised isn't actually what it seems as the stars are told they're there to work behind the bar.

Host Rylan breaks the news that their friends and family have nominated them for the programme as they're sick and tired of their friends' party antics. In a wild combination of Geordie Shore's recklessness and Ibiza Weekenders' duties, the party animals learn to organise events, pour drinks, cater to VIPs and even clean toilets in hopes of winning a cash prize of £60,000.

In just the first episode, the contestants are already pushing their drinking to the limit and getting their flirt on with one another. Rylan is there to oversee the contestants while barman Lee Baldry makes sure to keep them in order. Speaking at the launch of the show at Hijingo in Shoreditch, London, Rylan said there was a moment with the contestants in the final episode that left him and the production team 'shocked'.

Speaking to the press at the launch, he said: "Something happened at the final where I genuinely got to this point where I looked at this lot like my kids. Something happens in the final that we’re not going to spoil for people but where all of us were really shocked including production… to the point where I went up to our team and I went, “Are they allowed to do this?” and production went, “they can do whatever they want.”

"And because of the challenge it was, it made me feel really proud and it was the perfect end to the perfect summer." Rylan previously branded the show as 'everything you'd expect from a Zante bar.'

He said: "But our eight party lovers are hopefully going to take away real-life lessons as they go from being the party animal to having instrumental roles in running a successful bar. All I’ll say is that it’s not as easy as it sounds…” Hot Mess Summer is produced by Fremantle label Naked (known for The Apprentice, Grand Designs) and is executive produced by Gyles Neville.

The six-part series launches on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on 7 th February 2024*
