Liverpool have been left to pick themselves up after losing at Arsenal on Sunday.

Their defeat at the Emirates blew the Premier League title race wide open with Manchester City taking advantage 24 hours later, cutting the gap to two points with a game in hand. Jurgen Klopp is hoping to go out on a high when he leaves in the summer.

He'll have to reenergise his players though after a difficult outing in north London. Their next assignment is a home game against Burnley, who they'll be heavy favourites to beat. Before February is over the squad will also be back in domestic cup duty.

Here's the latest from Anfield.

Szoboszlai dealt cruel injury blow

Dominik Szoboszlai is set to miss the Carabao Cup final according to reports in his native Hungary. The midfielder had only recently returned from a hamstring injury, which he picked up against Newcastle on New Year's Day, as he came off off the bench in the 5-2 FA Cup win over Norwich before he scored in the 4-1 Premier League success over Chelsea.

Szoboszlai was then absent from the squad which lost at Arsenal on Sunday and he is now set to be on the sidelines for between three to four weeks as per a report from Index in Hungary.

They claim that the summer signing will miss up to seven or eight matches for Liverpool, which rules him out of the clash with Chelsea at Wembley on February 25.

Carragher labelled "bitter"

Ray Parlour has claimed that Jamie Carragher is 'bitter' after the pundit criticised Arsenal's celebrations following their win over Liverpool.

Carragher wasn't a fan of Martin Odegaard taking a picture of a club photographer in the aftermath of the Gunners' 3-1 win at the Emirates. Arsenal received criticism from the likes of Gary Neville and Richard Keys, who agreed with Carragher.

Parlour though has defended his former club, telling NetBet Sports Betting: “I love Jamie, but he’s being a little bit bitter because Liverpool lost. Of course you have to enjoy those moments, you get into the hype with the fans. The supporters would have been buzzing knowing they beat Liverpool, who are going very well at the moment and are top of the league."

Klopp fury seen in footage

Footage has come out showing a furious Klopp taking aim at Ryan Gravenberch after Buyako Saka put Arsenal ahead during Sunday's 3-1 defeat.

Saka scored early on as the Gunners broke through the Reds' press thanks to some neat build-up play. Gravenberch, who was deployed on the right of a midfield, went to put pressure on centre-back Gabriel but the Arsenal man easily found teammate Jorginho.

When the goal was scored Klopp was visibly furious and a wide camera angle showed him laying into Gravenberch by waving his arms and vigorously pointing out the Dutchman's poor pressing. The 21-year-old attempted to plead his case but it was no use against Klopp's rage.
