Love Island's Billy Brown shares secret way Islanders can message each other
Billy Brown, a Love Island star, has revealed a sneaky way the Islanders chat behind-the-scenes.
The Casa Amor lad, 23, shared there's a secret method for Islanders to discreetly message each other on their provided phones in the villa. Billy surprised us with, "So, with your phone, basically no one messages anyone in there, ever, it just didn't happen. You just get a little bling off the producer and you say 'I've gotta text'."
The reality star admitted nobody really used this hidden feature while he was on the show but reckons it could be a good trick. He said, "But we didn't ever text each other - we just talked to each other in person - but saying that, it would have been a good idea if you wanted it to be a secret and didn't want anything aired. It would definitely be a good way around it - that's a good idea actually."

Questioned about whether producers check their phones, Billy spilled, "We take funny photos and they go through them and post them on Instagram - so, yeah, I guess so..." He shared an amusing story about how they tried to hack the phones for internet access but failed.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesReflecting on his return from love Island, Billy confessed how strange it was to have his mobile back, stating, "We were trying so many different things to hack into the phones to use the internet but it wasn't happening. But I loved not having a proper phone though. It was weird coming out and getting my phone back - for two days, I didn't touch it. I hated it."
He seemed to enjoy the peace away from social media commenting, "I was so used to having no one annoying me and looking at someone else's life on Instagram - you could just focus on yourself."
Billy also shared his thoughts on the new Instagram ban, which could impact some contestants. ITV has decided to pause the singletons' social media accounts for the first time. Billy said: "I'm not the person to go in there for the Instagram side of things that's not how I am but other people might, and for that to be taken away I'm not sure if that's fair."
He added: "As obviously when you're in there, whoever is taking control of your account shows your personality as they share old photos and answer questions while you're in there." He continued: "It's a good way of getting who you are across to your fans and if you can't have that they're never going to know you until you're out."
Billy concluded: "It makes sense to get to know someone through their Instagram but it might be clever as after the show people may be more interested." Love Island : All Stars airs every Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
