Love Island slammed for lack of diversity as blonde trio enter as Kaz is dumped
Love Island fans have slammed an apparent lack of diversity in the All Stars villa as a trio of blondes were sent in to the house.
Fans of the ITV2 reality show have been tuning in for the past month to watch former Love Island contestants return to find love among the familiar line-up. But viewers are seemingly growing sick of seeing blonde haired contestants being added to the mix.
On Tuesday night, the patience of many viewers reached an end as 24-year-old twins Eve and Jess Gale entered the villa alongside curly haired 27-year-old Joe Garratt. The trio arrived like a tumbleweed of blond locks, rolling through the door to the surprise of the Islanders who were already in the villa.
Viewers took to social media to slam show bosses for failing to add a mix of ethnicities. One fan raged on X: “THREE blonde bombshells, absolutely NO diversity.” Another asked: “You’re right that it’s lacking the diversity. Are all the women blonde?! Except lovely Kaz?” And another wrote: “Why is it the same kind of people going in. Where is the diversity.”

Eve opted to pair with 27-year-old Casey O'Gorman and Jess picked 27-year-old Callum Jones.

Joe decided to pick Arabella Chi, 32 - and then the remaining men were allowed to pick from the rest of the women. The lads mainly opted to choose the ladies they were already coupled with.
As Eve and Jess had entered together, this caused an imbalance in the villa as the number of women outnumber the amount of men. As a result, 29-year-old show favourite Kaz Kamwi was left standing alone. She then received a text which stated: “Kaz you are single and therefor have been dumped from the villa. Gather your belongings and say goodbye.”
In her exit interview, Kaz told Maya Jama that she had tried not to cry when Toby did (ITV2)The other Islanders were devastated to see her leave - with 24-year-old Toby Aromolaran breaking down in tears as she prepared to say goodbye. Kaz was then interviewed by show host Maya Jama, 29, who asked how she was feeling.
Smiling, Kaz said: “I’m good. I was not going to cry and then Toby did and I was like ’s**t’. I love him down.” She also explained that she was stunned when ex-boyfriend Tyler Cruickshank , 28, walked in on day eight - and admitted she did have mixed feelings about him in the villa. She told the host: “I genuinely did not think Tyler would walk through the doors at all… I don’t know. We fell back into old ways. We had it out on the terrace and [decided] we’d have different journeys… I think we left it on a nice note.”
Viewers were gutted to see Kaz get dumped from the villa. One devastated fans wrote on X: "I loved Kaz in 2021 and I've loved her again this year. She is such a fantastic person who deserved so much more. #LoveIslandAllStars." While many others vowed to switch off the show - with one writing: "Kaz was the glue that kept me watching this show... Have a great rest of the season."
