Love Island All Stars’ Liberty Poole has ferociously defended co-star Georgia Steel - whose in-villa lies have sparked all manner of drama.

Fans of the ITV2 reality show were up in arms this week when footage showed 25-year-old Georgia was shown flirting with 24-year-old Tom Clare when she was already coupled up with 27-year-old Callum Jones. She was stolen from Callum by Toby Aromolaran, 24 - and tensions flared with footage was shown to the Islander showing Georgia flirting with Tom when he was coupled with Molly Smith, 29, and left Callum in shock as he thought she had genuine feelings for him.

While this provoked a range of almighty arguments in the Love Island villa, viewers were also left enraged - and branded Georgia a villain and slammed her on social media. Liberty - who was dumped from the villa last week - has watched all the drama unfold and observed the online backlash. Georgia's family have since issued a plea for people to be mindful when sharing their thoughts online regarding the Love Island star.

The 24-year-old reality star has defended her friend - saying she has made a mistake and doesn’t deserve the amount of abuse that’s being directed to her online. She also took a neutral stance in terms of supporting Molly over Georgia. Speaking to DigitalSpy, the TV star said: "I don't think she deserves the hate she's getting… I don't think anyone deserves that amount of hate, like, we're all human, we're all trying to, you know, navigate our way in that villa and it is very intense in there.

"Emotions are heightened and we're just all trying to navigate our way through, so I understand why the public are annoyed. I love Molly and I think Molly's a queen and she's handled all situations amazing, but I still don't think we should villainise her [Georgia S] to the extent we are."

Liberty first found fame on Love Island back in 2021 when she was a contestant on season seven of the show. At the time, she coupled up with 26-year-old Jake Cornish and the pair became favourites to win the season. But their romance imploded when Liberty was shown footage of Jake talking about her to other contestants - and hinting he wasn’t as attracted to her as she thought. The comments ruined Liberty’s confidence and the pair dropped out of the show days from the final.

Both took part in Love Island: All Stars without being aware the other would be there. Ultimately, Jake opted to quit the show after just three days as he found being forced to be with his ex. Speaking to The Sun after returning to the UK, Liberty admitted she was truly surprised to see Jake when he walked into the villa soon after she arrived. She said: "It was nice to see how he's grown. He's matured so much. I think we can now be friends. I'm really glad he came back in and we have had the closure we needed."
