Liam Payne's fans were left devastated after seeing a video clip of him in tears.
The musician, 30, has been teasing fans about his upcoming music in recent weeks after taking a hiatus from the industry following the release of his single, Sunshine, in 2021. But he recently confirmed that after a series of setbacks, he was back working on his second solo album.
Last week, the Wolverhampton-born mega-star confirmed that his latest single Teardrops was almost ready for release and that fans could pre-save the track ahead of its upcoming release. But as he teased the new song, Liam could be seen in floods of tears while in the recording studio.
"There were definitely a lot of teardrops shed making these records," he said of his upcoming album. After a close friend appeared to hug Liam in comfort him, the star went on to say: "For the first time you can really get a picture of what it was like for me each day of making this record.
"Like this album is that whole last year for me. How I was feeling on those days is each record, it's a snapshot of the day. So you can even help someone through a tough time, you know help somebody celebrate something. That's what I really wanted to get across with this record and that's the best part I guess about my job."
